Rate of growth is different for eveyone, for some people is can go very rapidly and others a little more slowly. There are guesses, but because every womans body is different and so is the size of the tumor when detected. My mother inlaws was smaller then a dime when detected, when they did the biop for it, they took most of it out then. They still took out later on the surrounding tissue to make sure they got it all plus one lymph node. Everyone woman is different and as long as there is a God in heaven, there is always hope.

I guess it depends on the type, the type my wife had went from 1 to 3 or 4 in a couple of months. If you have a 3 get the most aggresive treatment you can get. Go to a very good cancer clinic, go some place with up to date technology.See a couple of cancer specialist and ask questions. Even after this, with all the hope, pain and suffering. It still might not be enough.

I would depend...
Like there is any concrete answers for cancer?
It would depend on the nature of the cancer... what kind of cells, where they are growing, how long it will take then to get to the lymph nodes, etc.
It depends on whether or not you get treatment along the way!
It would depend on how well your body fights the cancer too.
My mother in law went through two bouts of breast cancer. Some 6 years after the second round, she was diagnosed w/ Stage IV.

canadad, very sorry to hear about your wife. My family will keep you and your family in our prayers. Breast cancer can be very tricky, keep your chin up. (I know its hard)
Breast cancer does often do different things to different people. Sometimes its slow, and easily treated, and sometimes its quick and difficult to catch.
My mother recently had her second bout of it and within 6 months she went from being fine in a mammogram to having a small irregularity that was determined to be two seperate cancers in teh same breast after an mri.
If it was caught early, you have a decent chance of great treatment and remission, but do remember that some people are just predisposed (for reasons we dont know yet) to cancers. Since everyone is different, only a specialist can give you specifics.
Wish you the best of luck, whatever reason for your asking.
