my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago. She had a mastectomy and reconstruction, where they took tissue from her stomach for the reconstruction. They said her chances of a re-occurance were like .1%, something really small. well she did get it back. and she had to go through chemo and radiation. my question is:

what are the chances of ME getting it now? or any type of cancer? would they be more than normal?

I've noticed that my mom has been rubbing the top of her breast lately. When I saw her rub it she gave a strange look. She hasn't said anything about it. I know that if you have a lump on your breast you should see a doctor to see if it could be cancer. I don't know if my mom is feeling a lump or not, but she hasn't seen a doctor. I want to talk to her and find out what it is, and if it is a lump, convince her to go see the doctor, but I don't know what to say. And it would be awkward. But I know I should say something. How should I bring it up? What should I say?

I am talking about me here. Any helpful answers will be appreaciated. Thank you very much and God bless.

For the past 3 or 4 months I've been extremely tired, I get to the point where I'm nearly crying in school because I'm so tired. My work has been very poor this year as a result, I'm normally an honors student and get all A's, well I can definitely say I'm not getting all A's this year. I get really cold all the time, even when people around me say it's hot. Muscle/bone aches often, especially around the end of the day. Swollen lymph nodes most of the time. I went to the doctor about 2 1/2 months ago and he said I had an infection and gave me medicine which did nothing for me even though I took it as prescribed until it was gone. I lost my appetite for a month and didn't eat, lost weight, but my parents noticed and now I'm eating for them so I'm gaining back the weight, but I'm still not hungry so when I eat my stomach hurts. I don't really know what's going on because I know my body so well and this is just confusing me. I get dizzy randomly, or extremely weak. I'm not sure if this is

Just recently my father died after battling with lung cancer for six months. As I sat by his bed for three hours I watched him suffer struggling to breathe with each short breathe. His eyes glazed over looking back up into his head, him grasping his bald head with his hand as he labored to breathe, and finally him starring at my mother as he gave up his spirit and his heart finally stopped. It was a horrifying experience to see, watching him literally suffocate to his death.

My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He is in the early stages of it. I don't know exactly what phase or much about it for that matter. Nonetheless I am worried and scared and so is my mother. He has two options to remove it either chemo or surgery. Does anyone know which option might be better and does anyone have experiences where someone in their life had this and was fine afterward?
