I can't believe this. My father in law left my husband and the whole family for another women and really didn't care about what her left behind. Only for everyone to suffer. My huband as not seen his father for like 4 years and now a month and 2 weeks ago he was in the hospital with pain. They found colon cancer, removed colon, the one week spreaded to his liver, and then 3 weeks after that it's in his lungs. He now has fluid going to his brain. I just can't belive that in the amount of time he went from walking around normal to know they say he won't make it to the end of the week. I guess I have to face and my husband to that he is just going to die and there is nothing we can change. I ca't belive a man could walk away from his family and not look back. There was not time to heal from this and now we all have to go on from this of what he did.

I guess my question is has anyone gotten to far with death like this and just pulled out of it? Thank you!

My grandmother died just a few days ago in palliative care. It was so sad because she passed away just after me and my dad said good bye and said we promised to visit her again tomorrow. We just walked out of the hospital when we got a phone call from grandpa that grandma was gone...grandpa sat beside her for the whole time.
Did she choose to die at that point because she was glad to see us for the last time? Or was it only a coincidence. I keep thinking it was the moment she chose to leave because she was happy to see us. I had the impression that she was holding onto life until the end. She had cancer in the liver for 15 years.

So here's my story...

about 16 months ago I lost my virginity. I actually had a homosexual experience to start things off. I really freaked out about everything after developing tonsillitis about 2 days after this. There were no fluids involved anywhere with the "experience". I had constant bouts with tonsillitis on and off for almost a year until I finally had my tonsils removed due to the development of sleep apnea and tonsil stones in July of this year. Since my first bout with tonsillitis, I've had a lymph node that has been noticeable in my neck. This has lasted from the first bout with tonsil issues, through my tonsil removal, etc. It's not big (maybe 1/2 - 1 CM in diameter).

About 2 months ago I took a trip to Scandinavia. When I returned I was fairly ill. I was sore, had an itchy throat, watery eyes, overall unwellness. Oh, and I have a small amount of tonsil tissue that was left over from my tonsillectomy which has gotten enflamed again, and has not gone down since.

My Uncle passed away from a long battle of cancer and in a way i am relieved because he is not longer suffering and sad at the same time for the loss in my family. This is my moms brother and he is the 2nd one in our family to die of cancer in 8 months, the other one was another uncle who had suffered for 2 yrs with lung cancer also my moms brother. I didn't attend the other funeral either due to lack of funds to travel. This time my 2 yr old twins are ill(bronchitis) so i feel as if i cannot take the chance on traveling with them by myself. Am i wrong for not going, for feeling like i do i would rather remember him the healthy happy man i knew than the one who dwindled to 150lbs and was so sick he couldn't even talk.

I've been fighting for my life for over 2 years. I was told that yet again I have cancer...again. I was told this time that it's terminal, that I had a year tops...and that dear friends was well over 2 years ago. This summer I came very close to losing this battle. All the radiation and treatment had caused a hole in my bladder. I had a very major surgery to repair, but then staff infection set in which led to me nearly losing my battle, another major surgery & a temp colostomy. I seemed to be on the ment and 3 weeks ago I started having daily seziures. The least I've had is 3 the most 13, my temp stays between 101 and 105 and they don't have a clue as to the reason.

When is enough enough? When does God say this poor girl has suffered enough and where and how do I find and get the strength to find my way through this latest setback. I don't like feeling this way, sorry for myself, but I gotta tell you I'm not supergirl either...Does anyone have any advice?

Once you have cancer and you get the 'all clear'

and it comes back again, will it ever go away
or will you die very soon.

It's been 2 years since my stem cell transplant and I still don't feel right. I know I'll never be like I was before cancer, but I still get alot of achiness and soreness in my body and alot of fatigue. In addition , I'll probably be on meds for the rest of my life. I have been out of work since I first had cancer which was about 3 and a half years ago, I had a recurrence, and then the transplant. It feels like I will never get back to working or leading a normal life. It is also very difficult being a younger person(28) and not really being able to find any type of support groups for people my age. In addition I have to see stuff on T.V. all the time about people who recover and run hundred mile marathons, meanwhile I'm still not back to work. It can seem sometimes like society doesn't want to deal with the fact that that type of stuff is uncommon. It's also extremely hard to go from constant Dr. care to appts. every 6 months or so. Any input you guys have is appreciated.

After squeezing a pimple under my armpit. I noticed that there is a small lump under the newly squeezed one. It is not a pea size, and it is really near to the surface (less than 5mm). Sometimes, i squeeze it and tiny bits of pus come out. I am a bit scared. Cuz i heard people say that if there is lump in your armpit or breast, then i would be breast cancer.
Please i would like to know a reasonable answer.

I'm looking for a name for my relay for life team. we need a theme and a corresponding theme. themes such as
- penguins like from happy feet and surfs up, the penguin movies.
- beach like fun in the sun tropical
- under the sea, water and such
- Disney characters, Alice in wonderland
- pirate. like pirates of the Caribbean
- 80's like awesome 80's leg warmers and big hair
**** we'd especially like to use the theme thunder or something like that because the junior's theme for their class is supreme and "make it reign" so we'd like something like you make it reign but we make it thunder.

so please come up with a precise theme, and a team name. be exact.

Thanks in advanced!!!

And I am freaking out! Her family is with her right now, and right now she doesn't want visitors.
What can I do besides be there for her? I know I can't heal her or anything, but I would like advise on how to cope with this and not her make her feel like she's the "sick" one. Any suggestions?
Thanks...
