I gew up in religion with the whole theory have when bad things happen its punishment, so let me try to answer your question from someone who understands where you are coming from.

My mom fully beleives and tells me daily that my cancer is a result of my 'sin'. When I got out on my own, I made some mistakes. Not just things that were morally wrong according to my religion, but things that were wrong for me as a person. I got caught up in with some less than savory ppl and was doing things I should not have been. I have been dealing with cancer for 3 years and left infertile. And as I said, my mom fully believes this is gods punishment.

For a while, I bought into it, and I thought so as well. That led to the worst feelings in my life. Having a baby is something I want so bad, and I destroyed that chance because of a mistake I made.

But, I have turned quite liberal since then. If god does have something to do with my cancer, I now believe it is so I can hlep docs learn. I am the only person that my state public insurance has approved for a specific clinical trial that I just got done going through, that has possibly cured me. If god has anything to do with it, I think it is so I can understand what other ppl are going through. When I was younger before I realized I wasnt quite so good at biology and chemistry, I wanted to be a pediaric oncologist. I will never make it through the schooling for that, but I have discussed with my docs in volunteering in the childrens wing of my hospital.

If god has anything to do with my infertility problems, I think it is so that I will adopt and maybe save the life of a child who would other wise be in and out of foster homes.

I know you are upset, believe me, I know. Just try to find something positive about your illness and go from there.

WHAT?
Are you serious?
WHAT?

In case you are... NO!

fibrous tumours only appear in people after puberty and before the menopause which suggests oestrogen is in some way to blame. If sin where the cause then why don't the young and old develop them?

I really do hope you are joking.

I have known several really devout & good people who have died young , a number of wicked and evil people who have stayed healthy and rich. There is no connection.

The wages of sin is death. Meaning a separation from God, not diseases. God gave us free will. It is our fault we get diseases, not God. All good things come from God.
