No, lupus is an autoimmune disease in which your body mistakenly attacks healthy tissues. Cancer is a uncontrolled dividing of cells, to put it in basic terms.

First of all Brizmo is wrong about the demographics. Lupus strikes women 9 times more often then men AND WOMEN OF COLOR 3 TIMES MORE OFTEN THAN ANGLOS.
That said, lupus is not cancer. In lupus, the immune sytem gets confused and thinks YOU are a germ, virus or other invader. Lupus is an extremely complex disease. I invite you to read more at the link below.

NO. It has nothing to do with cancer. Its an autoammune disease. It is treatable but, not curable.

it is a disease that makes your body think that its organs and other cells are "foreign matter" thus your immune systems tries to destroy them. Of all the people that have it like 98+% are white anglo females.
