Hi everyone...my mom has been in the hospital (in and out, mainly in) for 5 months due to ovarian cancer and right now she is on TPN and can't eat or drink and is in constant pain. I'm the only caregiver when she comes out and was wondering if anyone has stories of how they coped or tips. I'm really anxious and scared (because the last time she came out, it was only for 12 hours and we had to call 911 it got so bad). Thank you :)

I've been using my mobile phone as a home phone for the last couple of months (phone calls can be lengthy). I now have a small lump in front of my ear which can be painful to touch, and my hearing is not as good as it has been. Should I be concerned?

Like a sports injury, a bruise, etc. My son was hit by a hockey puck on his shin last January, and was even xrayed at the time...nothing. Then in April he gets this lump, we check it out and it's cancer, localized lymphoma.

Had anyone else's cancer started due to some type of injury? Just curious because there must be some connection but the doctor's say they simply don't know the causes, but there seems to be some correlation.

I was reading and I heard lead can higher the cause of cancer. Recently my daughter was playing with a pencil and lead got into my thumb. I could still see a slight dark black but it's not as dark. Is this bad or does it increase the chances of cancer?

Also do people who are on it look ill? Especially when they say that they are having bad reactions to it. Someone I know say they have cancer and are dying very soon but they look very well to everyone. I am not sure if they are really ill or just crying out for attention, callous I know but this person has a history of over dramatising things to get people to feel sorry for them. Lots of what they say just does not ring true somehow and people never believe what they are told by this person unless they see for themselves. All the hair is still there and weight is pilling on and the appetite is a very good one. Any one out there who knows about these things?
