why is cancer so common in U.S?I 've been in U.S for three months now,I 've always heard people die of cancer

I came to U.S in september to join my family,and each time my parents or some friends talk about someone who died,my question is what killed the person?and I have always heard the same answer,Cancer!I keep wondering why its so common here.

Is cancer not common in Europe? (assuming that is where you are from) Cancer is like a plague here in the states. You fear anything that you may eat or drink, cell phones (supposedly) and even the God given sun light. People here are getting sick from spinach and other organically grown vegetables. It is really pretty scary but I try not to think about it. I have 2 grandsons that are healthy and happy and I thank God, the Lord, each and every day for that. My daughter has overcome illnesses and she is a strong survivor. I myself am not afraid of death but the sickness that might lead to it is something I don't want to face. You're absolutely right. America has the highest cancer rate in the world...why it that? Maybe an outsider can give US thier take on why??

They said if we could see all the electrical/magnetical signals etc. flying around or hear it rather, that we would go deaf from the noise, that it has an effect on our bodies...cellular everything...by satellite...all those signals float around us invisibly.

Wait till you see all the chemicals in our foods, coffee, pop, snacks, meats, etc. etc. And the chemicals we spew into our air and water...then you'll understand why.

hmm, interesting observation. one thing working against us is the climate. most regions of the U.S. are hotter and sunnier than anywhere in europe, and most of our white citizens have skin that is vulnerable to melanoma.

our diet doesn't help, and probably contributes to the rising incidence of colon cancer in the population.
