I've been using my mobile phone as a home phone for the last couple of months (phone calls can be lengthy). I now have a small lump in front of my ear which can be painful to touch, and my hearing is not as good as it has been. Should I be concerned?

Yes, potentially. RADIATION causes cancer. Now there are guidlines to how much radation phones can immit... why? because radiation is dangerous. If you use your mobile phone a lot it DOES indeed have the potential to cause cancer. Because radiation hurts the body, and cancer is caused from the body being hurt.

Why do you think, when xray technicians (radiographers) give xrays they hide behind that wall... because they're protecting themselves against radiation.

I don't care what studies have to been done to prove that mobile phones are safe. I'm sure others would have done studies to prove the exact opposite. PEOPLE, use your commonsense and realise that radiation, has the potential to cause cancer. So if you do want to use your phone, ensure that you do it only seldomly, this is the same for cordless phones...

i would get your lump checked out... no doubt they'll give you an xray to test it... crazy would we live in...

They just finished a study in Sweden and no it won't cause tumors. Your ear might just be a bit sensitive I get it all the time if I was on the phone a lot. But it always goes away, sometimes I had a little pimple in my ear and the constant pressure had it irritated, hurt like hell, but the doctor gave me cortisone cream which I applied with a Q-tip and after a couple of days it went away.

not true~^-^ mobile phone radiation is NOT ENOUGH to cause cancer or tumor in the brain. the constant pressure on your ear(from using the phone very often) is the one causing that pain, not the radiation. using the phone often can cause ear infection, maybe that is why your hearing is not so good right now and your ear is hurting. go to the ear doctor to see what is wrong.

i could say definite. the telephone places out waves, like microwaves, and conserving it top close on your head for long classes of time could in all possibility no longer be solid. Get an earphone, a minimum of, so the telephone is somewhat away out of your head.
