I've heard that the air is really polluted and I've also heard that
perfume,nail polish,nail polish remover,smoke,alcohol,fragrance causes cancer. The foods that I've heard that cause cancer are
ham,barbecued meats,fries,fried chicken,grilled chicken,undercooked meat,liver,cafeteria food,onions,soy,sausages,steak.Is it true?

It's a toxic world we live in, that much is true, and no one is immune or safe. Cancer is like Russian Roulette...it just points a finger and says YOU.

In a world of free trade, you have no idea what people use on food...they can claim what they want...why is it that cancer is highest in North America? Its pollution. It's factories, it's coalmines, and it's pesticides and preservatives in all the processed foods you eat...what's natural about anything in this world anymore? Nothing!

They just did a report here in Canada that said that within the next 5 years they will ban 300 chemicals that are known to be bad for our health...300!!! That is how many we are still breathing in day to day...God only knows how many more in the US which is a lot lax on chemicals than Canada, and imagine places like Mexico and Asia etc.

It's our food, it's our drinks...we never drank all the garbage we do now...all chemicals...so much salt in everything...that's another story altogether. And juice...it's loaded with sugar and nothing nutritious in it at all...yet we pour it down our kids throats...mothers and fathers at baseball games and their snacks...think of it...we just pour garbage into our kids.

It's my personal belief that foods have been a major contributor to the number of Cancer cases due to the preservatives that have been added to all our foods. The air is polluted, but to different degrees, depending on the environment. Near factories and high volume traffic areas, the higher the risk. Then, there's the big nasty. Smoking. It is the highest risk for developing Cancer, and yet people voluntarily "choose" to invade their bodies with cigarette smoke.

the solvents in those first things are VERY toxic, I'm surprised they allow then at all to be sold. My wife put her fingers in nail polish remover once. It messed em up permanently.

From meats its nitrates and burned stuff from grilling that are carcinogens.

A few toxins are normal and when we get old enough most of us should expect some form of it. If we can get better food and not buy those toxic things to reduce or chances of it. It makes sense to me to do it. $10 a week more on food to not get cancer 20 years later makes good sense to me

Thant all depends on what study has funding at the time:
As far as i know everything we do causes cancer:
Truth is i don't think anyone really knows the causes of most any disease.
Plus if they do have a cure we would never know it. A cure would hurt the medical economy.
Think how may Dr's, Insurance company, pharmacy's would close shop.

But it's not the food itself. It's all the chemicals we use to
treat the stuff.
or give the animals hormones or put stuff in their food to make them bigger or whatever.

If everything was organic, that we eat, drink you would see about 95% of cancer gone.

My great grandfather lived on a farm.

Ate a huge bacon & eggs breakfeast every morning. Lots of fatty foods etc, but everything was grown on the farm. No chemicals and stuff like that.

He lived to be 96. No cancer or high cholesterol. Died of natural causes.

Does everything cause cancer? In a way, yes. You have cancer cells in your body every minute of every day. If you die of nothing else, (accidents, heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, severe infection, killer flu,yadayadayada you will die of a cancer of some sort. There are only so many times cells in your body can divide properly, and as you age, those cells begin to make mistakes. When your immune system no longer can recognize the mistake and destroy it, as it was able to when you were younger, the cancer metastizes (spreads).

Does everything cause cancer.....??? yup, living causes cancer, hon.

But there are some sure things that will increase your chances of getting certain kinds of cancer. We know that cigarettes and tobacco products are supreme insults to the tissues in which they come in contact with, so for sure, don't use tobacco. And we know that healthy diets rich in fish, veggies, fruits, and low in trans-fats, tend to keep our systems in better shape. We also know that being fat increases many types of cancers, as well as about any other disease. What ever condition you come up with, it is always worse if you are overweight.

My son has cancer and I'm starting to realize that it is in what we eat. Our animals are being injected with growth harmones. Think about it, 25 years ago kids were not going through puberty at age 9. Even the produce aisle is not what it used to be, that's why there's an organic section.

pretty much everything that we eat, breath, drink, or come to take in our bodies contains what are called FREE RADICALS. each day your body's healthy cells take about 10,000 hits a day by these free radicals. Oxygen is the main culprit as it causes oxidation just as life is the main cause of death, if we didn't all have to go sometime then we really would have a problem. It's bad enough having non-smokers hanging around for years after they've worn out their welcome! Wait till you get there to worry.
