it depends on the location. if it affected the left side of your colon or the descending colon, symptoms are obstruction like abdominal pain. if it is the right side or the ascending colon, symptoms are anemia. if it is the rectosigmoid, there could be bleeding, painful defecation. other symptoms are abdominal mass, small sized stool and weight loss

With proper screening, colon cancer should be detected BEFORE the development of symptoms, when it is most curable.

Most cases of colon cancer have no symptoms. The following symptoms, however, may indicate colon cancer:

Diarrhea, constipation, or other change in bowel habits that does not resolve
Blood in the stool
Unexplained anemia (anemia in any adults other than menstruating women should almost always be evaluated by a colonoscopy)
Abdominal pain and tenderness in the lower abdomen
Intestinal obstruction
Weight loss with no known reason
Stools narrower than usual

There are a variety of known symptoms of colon cancer including abdominal pain, diarrhoea and constipation, blood in the faeces, or even a blockage of the bowel. However, the symptoms vary from case to case and some cases do not cause any symptoms at all.

Often time colon cancer has no symptoms at all, that is why screening is in order. When it does cause symptoms common symptoms include:

Rectal Bleeding
Change in bowel habit (frequency and/or size of stools)
Abdominal pain
Fatigue due to anemia (low blood count) caused by chronic bleeding
