I noticed that my ears itch whenever the humidity in the air is high, or soon after I take a shower, or when I go for a swim. They also itch when the climate get a little cooler. So I suspect that I have a fungal infection in my ear. I have gone for numerous checks, but all the ENTs I have been to say that there is nothing in the ear that they can find, and just tell me that it will subside. But it never does. I have been having this problem since almost 2 years now. I don't know what I should do. Can anyone help me?

I know every case is different. I know there is no way to really know. What I am looking for here are averages. What is the AVERAGE length of time once diagnosed with stage 4. With Chemo, how long, and without chemo, how long?

I work in hospital closely with patients, I recently have encounter a situation, one of my patient had a Liver transplant from alcoholic liver serrosis, now he is in hospital agian and asking for another transplant, because he continued to drink at home. Does seem unfair or unethical to other patient whose waiting for a transplant?

I was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes alcohol to leave your system for a urine test? I went to a wedding on Saturday night and drank from 7:00pm until around 2:00am. I was told I had to take a drug/alcohol urine test on Monday for a job that I was offered. I took the test on Monday around 11:30pm. Would there still be alcohol in my system after 33 hours have past? It would help if people that actually went through this answered.

I have had a weak, bad, unstable stomach since i was a kid...
i hardly went to doctors because they were so random.
Recently i went to a doctor who told me i had irritable bowel syndrome, so i already know what it is. I know im not supposed to eat sour, spicy hot stuff, and also coffee, tea. I had medication which was of no use. In the past, i also had a tube go down to my stomach to examine but also nothing was found.
I recently banned myself from drinking milk and eating milk-related stuff such as chocolate and cheese because i find its safer not to eat them, and also oily food/snacks.
I've also banned myself from all kinds of drinks except water, milo and occasionally apple juice.

Nothing seems to work. The pain is still unbearable, unexpectable. its going to drive me crazy after almost a life of dealing with stomach pain almost every week. No particular food triggers the pain.

I wish someone could tell me what to do, because im so stressed out, and i have a hemorrhoid as well

I know I'll get theanswers from kids based on what they have been taught & that's great, but I'm looking for replies from people that know about the subject.

My aunt is an RN, late 50's, and a smoker of 30 years... with no trace of COPD. My grandfather lived to be 85 and smoked since he was 12, no respiratory problems.

My aunt says that medical experts and scientists don't really KNOW what causes emphysema and if you talk to one they will tell you they think it CAN increase your chances of developing the disease, but aren't even sure by what %. I have read her med journals that skate around the subject.

She says people that don't smoke and live in highly industrialized cities get it as often as people that smoke. She says she's treated as many patients with emphysema that didn't smoke as ones that did, many of those not subjected to 2nd hand smoke

Does smoking CAUSE emphysema or not? I know I'll get "if you smoke, you'll die", but I'm hoping for educated input

I have had a dull ache in my side for a week, then thursday and Friday last week I suffered what my doctor called Renal Colic and was screaming in agony! I had an injection and some tablets. the spasms have subsided but still 3 days later I feel sick and still ache like crazy. It still feels like someone is stabbing me when I move. Is this normal, have I passed the stone? Thanks x

I've been plagued with Rectal bleeding over 1 month. Finally got up the nerve to go see doc, and he scheduled me for colonoscopy. Won't know result of that until 11/14. Who wants to wait that long? My hair is growing like crazy, and I've lost 20lbs since 3/2007.

Are there any other physical symptoms associated with colon cancer? There are no changes in bowel habits. Do I have reason to worry?

I used to be a vegetarian but now find I cannot tolerate any produce that has not been cooked. The pain is excruciating and I am ill for 2 - 3 days after eating the raw fruit or veggies.
