I was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes alcohol to leave your system for a urine test? I went to a wedding on Saturday night and drank from 7:00pm until around 2:00am. I was told I had to take a drug/alcohol urine test on Monday for a job that I was offered. I took the test on Monday around 11:30pm. Would there still be alcohol in my system after 33 hours have past? It would help if people that actually went through this answered.

A number of factors in the body and in the nature of the alcohol beverage itself may retard or accelerate the transport and metabolism of alcohol in the bloodstream. (The presence or absence of food in the stomach is one critical determinant of the rate of alcohol absorption.) The level of intoxication is a direct function of the concentration of alcohol in the blood. Alcohol remains in the body for a finite period that, for most people, is about one hour for each drink. The rate of alcohol disappearance from the blood is estimated to be about one ounce an hour.

So, you should be alcohol free in less than a 24 hour day in most circumstances. (Unless you are fall-down, messy, drunk.) But, more importantly, why is it your employers business if you have a few drinks on the weekend? Alcohol consumption is not illegal, so why is it a factor in obtaining a job? Other drugs, I understand, but alcohol I don’t get.

I have read the test and given the test.
For every one beer it takes one hour for your body to metabolize it.
BUT.. it also depends on how healthy you are, did you have anything else in your body? I.E. tylenol, allergy medicine, herbal medicine etc...
if you had mixed drinks.. assume 2 hours for every one drink.
How much water did you drink, etc...
So calculate it up and you should have your answer.

You burn off one drink an hour. You should have been cleared after 33 hours.
