I'm curious about something and maybe a health care professional can answer this. My dad was in hospital with West Nile. Because his spinal tap came back as positive for infection, they treated him with antibiotics for the HPV virus, (as a preventative as they didn't know what he had at this point). So what I want to know is if this is the same HPV virus as the sexually transmitted one?

They stopped the HPV antibiotic treatment once it was confirmed as West Nile, however I'm just curious why something like HPV was suspected in the first place, as his symptoms were high fever, tremors, incoherency and confusion, headache, etc. and really he just slipped into unconsciousness. I've never heard of that associated with the sexually transmitted HPV and I'm certain that they said they were treating for HPV infection as a precautionary.

Can HPV cause all those symptoms my dad had? Or would this be another strain or type of HPV?

In July I was diagnosed w/kidney stones. Woke up in middle of night w/worse pain ever..etc. CT scan showed 1 stone in right many in left kidney. Said they were small enough to pass.. Ok. Here we are 4 months later.. I dont think I have passed anything the severe pain died down but now seems to be returning. Over the past couple days I have this constant ache in my back and gotta go to bathroom feels like all the time.. How long will it take these things to pass and can you pass them and not know?? I think I would know I have heard it really hurts coming out. And yes I drink a ton of water every day.. so much so I feel bloated!!!

Im asthmatic and had 2 have my second flu jab. Whenever i move my arm its really painful. Is this normal or do i need to see my doctor?

I can't believe it. I've barely had my 22 year old birthday and there's a visible balding patch near the crown of my head. I've been using Rogaine for the past 6 months and there hasn't been any significant result (except for some slight slowing of hairfall).

I feel really horrible and I always have this scenario pictured in my head, that by 25 I would look like Donald Trump... (which doesn't really look bad, just not something I hope to look like).

Any other suggestions/solutions to hair loss?

I have dark skin on the back of my neck, underarms, most creases. I scrubbed cause I thought it was dirty....but it doesn't go away. I put lotion cause I thought it was dry, it got a liitle better but is still there. Im not diabetic, I checked. Does anyone know what this could be and how I can get rid of it?

Someone told me that leprosy can be caused through eating pork and from there it passes down, being inherented.

This guy in the store was just coughing and hacking all over the place and I tried to face in the opposite direction and hold my breath for as long as I could....But he just kept on and on....It sounded like he has pnemonnia or bronchitis! I have debilitating anxiety, and I was prescribed a new medicine for an unrelated condition. I did research on the pill before I took it, and I read about how it can cause severe allergic reactions. I'm always reluctant to take new medicines or try new foods in fear that I'll develop a reaction to it. To put my mind at ease, if I WAS to develop some awful allergic reaction to this medicine, would Benadryl get rid of it, or would I have to go to the ER or die or something?

My dad has diabetes and he's a welder. He has trouble finding work boots that don't take a toll on his feet. Is there a place that sells a good variety of steel toe boots that provide the cushioning a diabetic needs? I did a web search and found a few sites that carried a few but they were all lace up boots which are not what my dad had in mind. Maybe I'm not doing the right search or maybe there's a retailer who provides this. Anyway, I'd be very thankful.

My doctor told me that I had borderline diabetes which can be managed by my diet. I know to stay away from candy, cakes, cookies etc. But, can I have fruit? Someone told me to avoid.
