You can treat herpes with medications like Valtrex, Acyclovir, Zovirax which some people take every day to control breakouts. Some people just take those medications when they think they are about to experience a breakout. There are a few different types of herpes. Most people have Type 1 which is just a normal fever blister. Type 2 is the genital kind. No treatment because it's a virus, but meds help to control it.

Herpes is a common sexually transmitted infection (STI). There are 2 types of herpes, Herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) and Herpes simplex virus 2 (HSV-2). The symptoms for HSV-1 normally occur around the mouth while the symptoms for HSV-2 occur around the genitals. Nevertheless, both types of herpes can be transmitted to the genital and mouth areas. Herpes is often spread through sores. Most people often experience some form of sensation, including itching and tingling before they observe anything on the skin. No cure, but there are people that claim that they once tested positive for herpes, but are now testing negative after following a natural treatment the purports to destroy the protein barrier that protects the herpes which allows your immune system to rid your body of the infection. A lot of products claim the ability to suppress herpes outbreaks, but this one claims to be different. It's cheap with a 60 Day money back guarantee.

Herpes is a non-curable STD. The symptoms can be treated. Herpes viruses also cause chicken pox, cold sores and shingles.

During my teens and into early adulthood I had a number of cold sores. But, without use of any medications or any treatments I have not had one single outbreak in over 20 years. I suspect my body built up an immunity.
I suspect that for some their body is able to fight and destroy the virus. I know vaccinations do not take effect on me especailly since I have no vaccination marks on my body although did have the smallpox vaccination when a youngster. Doctor told me that some people are already immune and the scar from a vaccination is the remnants of the non-immune body fighting the injected vacination and the scar being the battlefield so to speak.
I suppose if not for some being immune to deseases and virus' the black plaque would have wiped out the world.
