I can't believe it. I've barely had my 22 year old birthday and there's a visible balding patch near the crown of my head. I've been using Rogaine for the past 6 months and there hasn't been any significant result (except for some slight slowing of hairfall).

I feel really horrible and I always have this scenario pictured in my head, that by 25 I would look like Donald Trump... (which doesn't really look bad, just not something I hope to look like).

Any other suggestions/solutions to hair loss?

LOL guys! I did the bald head once- it was nice for awhile, but I can't really imagine myself being bald for the rest of my life right? Sigh... since so many people suggested it, might as well just try...

No nothing wrong, I am 17 and my boyfriend is 19 (I know I'm younger and the age gap isn't as big) but still 4 years isn't that much!! If you both love each other then it's fine, I think what your Dad did is spiteful and it's his grandchild that he has to consider in this, he has sacked your boyfriend, and this will effect your child as your boyfriend now doesn't have a job, a child doesn't pay for itself so I think your Dad needs to get over the fact that you ARE keeping your baby and sacking your boyfriend was an immature and stupid thing to do. What does your Dad think he is gaining out of this? Anyway, me and my boyfriend have a 8 and a half month old daughter together, and despite what people may think, as we are both young, we do love each other and our child and he works, so basically what I am trying to say is, age is only a number, we are just as good parents as any other couple, if you love each other provide your baby with a home and love him/her then you've nothing to worry about. Don't worry about what your parents and his, think, you love each other, he was working, until your Dad sacked him, and I think if he thinks about what he did then he will come round, as I said it's his grandchild in this situation, and it's not like your boyfriend just sits there claiming benefits, he was making the effort. Everything will be ok :) at the end of the day all that matters is you, your boyfriend and your little bubba, and that you love each other :) hope this makes you feel better about things and good luck with everything! xx

There are several forms of hair loss. If it is male pattern baldness (Androgenetic alopecia) then the hair loss cannot be fully cured in most cases, but just frozen for some time with the treatments availiable on market today.

1) Hair transplant (FUE technology) creates really natural hairline, no scars, the best way to go if you have enough donor hair and money of course.

2. Propecia (Finasteride) and Minoxidil are the only ones approved by FDA and proven to work in most men so far.

Generic Propecia (finasteride) is also ok. I use it with same results, and unfortunately same side efefcts(a bit dry feeling in the scalp) as brand propecia. Have tried lots of herbal crap before it and laser combs, so far the only thing that prevents my hairloss, not much regrowth, but has stopped my hairloss completely.
I buy from this pharmacy for the last 2 years - http://www.1rx.biz/generic_propecia.html . It is under $1 per pill for 1mg propecia.

But before you consider to start propecia you must really study about the side effects. It can mess your hormones real bad if you are not lucky, so you must choose, hair or these side effects. Quite a big perecent have these side effects, more than Merck - the company that holds
Propecia trademark is saying. see the link for side effects stories www.propeciahelp.com

I had a balding boyfriend when I was 18, he was a bit older but not 25. He wore his hair short, and he had beautiful eyes. He showed me his picture with a lot of hair and I thought he looked better the way he was withiut so much hair. I'd save my money and buy really nice clothes and shoes. Women notice that stuff just as much!

Does baldness run in your family? Were your grandfathers bald (baldness usually comes from g/f's). If so, stop worrying about it, there is probably nothing you can do. Shaving it, is the way most men go. But you might also consider hair transplants...

ask your doctor about going on propecia or proscar. its the only way your going to keep the hair you still have. as for the hair youve lost, if you want to be a man with hair for the rest of your life, the only real way your going to get it back is by having hair transplant surgery, which depending on how much hair youve lost, will cost you between 4000-12000 dollars. a sound investment for someone whos as young as you.
