You have sweet blood- thats what my mother would always tell me. I think they say that mosquitoes are attracted to the air you expel, the more, the more they fly near you. I would use a quality bug spray, like DEET. If not, try putting some vinegar on your legs, see if they bite or not. The smell detracts them. Also, sleep with long sleeves and long bottoms, or tights. Lastly, if all that doesnt work (though the deet should) you can buy one of those bug killer things that you plug in the wall and it has a light that bugs are attracted to- they go towards the light and it zaps them. Sounds gross but it works! Just dont put it too close to your bed!

It's true that some people get bitten more by mosquitoes than others. Each of us excrete a certain scent, not exactly body odor.. people can't smell this, but insects can.
Try drinking Thiamine Hydrochloride, better known as Vitamin B1. Wikipedia says "Some studies suggest that taking thiamine (vitamin B1) 25 mg to 50 mg three times per day is effective in reducing mosquito bites. A large intake of Thiamine produces a skin odor that is not detectable by humans, but is disagreeable to female mosquitoes."
But hey, consult your dermatologist too if you need more info.
Hope this helps!

If you don't like the smell of insect repellent, try Avon skin so soft. It smells a little better and keeps bugs away. Also, if you eat a lot of bananas or are sweating a lot that attracts mosquitoes. Maybe try some talc powder if you are very sweaty and be careful of flowery lotions.

Some people swear by Avon Skin-So-Soft body wash and body lotion. Off even makes a line of products that is similar to the Skin-So-Soft. Others have told me it didn't work for them. They may be attracted to scents you are wearing such as perfume, hair products, deoderant, after shave. Try to minimize these or wear unscented ones if you know you will be outside in mosquito-infested areas. It's also possible that your pheremones or natural body scent may be attracting them. Citronella candles burning in the area may also help a bit. You may also have to wear long sleeves, socks, hat, etc to minimize the skin areas that are exposed.

Wear long sleeves & pants. Avoid going outside during the early morning & late evenings (when mosquitos are out the most). Wear repelent. You could also purchase a fogger or special candles to help keep them away.

Some people just attract them. Don't go outside at dusk. Wear long sleeves and long pants. Don't go into to woods at all in summer. Spring, fall and winter, you should be fine. Make sure your yard has no sources of standing water, not even a cupful.. For ornamental ponds et cetera, buy mosquito dunks at your local hardware store.

Mosquitoes will flock to you if you eat bananas.
Wear blue, avoid yellow.
They find you through your body heat. Stay cool, use powder (cornstarch works and doesn't smell) to absorb sweat. They like moisture so powder irritates them.
They bite me a lot too. I react more - huge welts, so sometimes I take antihistamine. It helps keep the reactions to a minimum.

Wear long sleeves, long pants, socks and shoes. Use insect spray or stay indoors. Mosquitoes can carry West Nile Disease so you can't be too careful.
