I just got prescribed citalopram (40mg) and usually about two nights a week I go out and get wasted. I know they say you shouldn't drink while taking this, but I look forward to hitting the bars all week long. Even if I don't drink a lot, I'd like to be able to have at least six or seven beers and a couple of shots. I was talking to some guy at a party one time who said he was on zoloft and whenever he knew he was going out for a big night of drinking he just didn't take his meds that day. So I'm thinking that's what I'll try. I've gone without this stuff for a while now so if I miss a day or two I don't think it'll be a problem, but I just wanted to see what you guys think would be the best idea.

i have a really unusual problem: i'm turning everything orange! really! at one point a few months ago my green towels started getting orange blotches on them that looked like bleach spots, so i assumed i must have gotten something on them, even though i hadn't bleached anything lately. then about 6 of my shirts started getting similar blotches, and then even the foam part of my earphones turned this bright bright orange. after i take a shower my mom says she's noticed an orange ring around the bathtub drain... and the strings on some of my pants have been doing the same thing. i'm 13, i don't eat anything weird, not if you don't count a lot of pickles and black olives. i don't sweat a lot. what could be causing this problem? no doctors my mom's taken me to has been able to figure it out yet... they just end up saying "weird... are you SURE it's not face wash or shampoo or bleach or something?" lol. anything you might MAYBE think could be happening is very much appreciated... thx... lol

I had a abscess that was the result of MRSA on my lower buttocks removed about a week ago. I have removed my packing, and it has been six days since the packing has been removed. It is healing very nicely, the hole that was there has filled in with healthy tissue. I keep a sterile bandage over it at all times, and wash it once a day in the shower with antibacterial soap as my doctor instructed me to.

However, as its been healing, MAN, has it been itchy! I find myself having to rub on the bandage vigurously to soothe the itch. I know this is coming from healing, but I wanted to know if I can put any kind of antibacterial ointment on it, primarily to soothe the itch, but at the same time, aid with healing. My doctor said it was not necessary to put ointment on the wound, and I wouldn't want to, but I just know I want to put SOMETHING on it because it itches so bad.

Thanks!

i have read this post from another guy. and it sounds EXACTLY like my symptoms.
runny nose, pain on one side. etc etc.
but i heard true story from someone else about this guy who had been told by a doctor that he had cluster headaches.

then died of a brain hemorage.

is this going to happen with me?

im mean ya i get headaches, and MAYBE have an overactive thyroid (gettting a test for it). but i DON'T get symptoms like vomiting, dizzyness, panick attacks, hallucinations, motor problems (some twitching but ive done it ever since smoking pot lol), and vision probs.

so tell me - even if i do have this. its not fatal. right?

I have Hashimotos (hypothyroid) and have had it since I was 12 years old. I am now 27 and just had a baby boy 3 months ago and since his birth .. my TSH is high!
TSH - 5.05
T4Free - 1.28

*so, my doctor increased my Synthroid from .137mcg to .175mcg. -- my question is:
I've been on the new dose for 1 week [as of yesterday] and some symptoms have subsided [my feet aren't as cold, and I'm not AS tired all the time] but my weight is exactly the same! I'm NOT losing any weight! When will I see weight loss results??
[I have 32 lbs. of baby weight to lose]

thanks! :]

Benedryl only thing to work so far, but makes me sleepy. Any help to help me figure out what I am allergic to from you allergy veterans?

The last time i took the tab for acne was around 11 30 pm last night and i plan on drinking alcohol tonight around 8ish pm. I can't really find much online about interactions caused by Sulfamethoxazole and alcohol. But even if it could cause bad effects, would the drug be out of my system by tonight anyways? im only looking to have maybe 3 or 4 beers

My class is having a discussion on whether or not a person with STD should tell their partner or anyone they may consider to have a relationship with about their STD.

I have been bothered with dry flaky skin at the side of my nose for almost 2 weeks now. It is not much, but I just can't seem to shift it for the life of me!! I moisturise twice every day using nivea and have also tried putting vaseline/sudocrem on it at night.

It is not getting any worse, but doesn't seem to be improving either.

I don't want to bother the doctor as it seems very trivial.

Could it be eczema? Or am I just being a hyperchondriac?

If heart surgeons take the most serious patients, the surgeon will run the risk of appearing to be a bad surgeon. Won't the real evaluation be if the surgeon will even take the patient now?

My nephew has lost alot of weight, eyes are sunk in, will not eat hardly at all. My neice took him to the doctor and the urine test showed an abnormally high wbc in his urine. He is thirsty and will drink but hardly urinates. He has been sick a few times in the last few months with flu-like symptoms. The dr. put him on Bactrim and said to bring him back in 10 days to do more testing, blood work, etc... Can anyone tell me what they think this is? His grandfather died of throat cancer the year before he was born and his mom died two years before he did of cancer. I'm not scared of any answers you may give and any input would be appreciated. Thanks and God Bless.

I have mild nail fungus on toe and nails, on sosme nails but I want to remove the fungus, it looks a little dry and cracked but not like yellow, green or any color. I am using some over the counter product called "Fung off" which is a liquid thing. I´ve heard of Lamisil tablets, does that work? have you tried it? how long does it take for that to work? whats the cost?
