If you are alive, it is already actively performing many functions day and night. It can be considered the "boss" gland in that it signals other glands and organs RE their functions.

You can't reactivate it if it's not working.
As it is responsible for the release of so many hormones you would have to go to the doctor or endocrinologist for medication to help out.

you can't...if it's distroyed by something, you need to take hormones to replace whats lost.
