My wife has been a type II diabetic for a few years now. She recently started taking 5mls Byetta. She absolutly will not exercise. The only thing I can think of to help her is to follow the same diet. I have two teenage boys and yes they eat like horses (and don't show it) and I will continue to supply them with carbs. I am at a loss on how to help my wife from deteriorating. I am currently reading a book by Dr. Bernstein (Diabetes Solution). Please help, I am open to suggestions.

I had a cold this week (I'm still getting over it) but its mostly in my nose now. Last night I drank a little vodka and some other 100 proof alcohol mixed with LifeWater.

I went clubbing last night and it may be from that because I moved around a bit, but it's kind of strange because its a little under the ribcage, and I feel kind of nauseated.

I did take some extra strength tylenol last night, but I didn't drink a lot. Like 2 shots. What is the problem?

I have one swoleen lymph node in my neck. It doesn't hurt, its just bigger then normal. I know that lymph nodes are a sign of infection but I'm not sick, no sore throat or ear aches etc. I sometimes feel a bit tired but that's it. Also i get these drenching night sweats. Not really a temprature, just a low grade fever sometimes. I've had these symptoms for 3 weeks or so. Im 16 years old. I feel pretty good besides this stuff that is going on. Im going to the doctor soon i think. So if you guys have any idea on what it is let me know. I would have gone to the doctor sooner but I can only miss 5 days of school, and its hard to get an appt in the afternoon.

ok i got scared and thought i had a bug bite but i have a clean house 'n all im serious but got some sort of lip bit it didnt swell but i can see those two little holes on my lip where the bug might have stuck its teeth also i got this bit on back thigh and it was cicular and it swelled it was about .5 to.75 in ches long but at the end of the day it shrunk to the size where i couldnt find it is this a bed bug or some other bug i dont need to worry about also i checked the sides of my mattresswhere bed bugs might hide and found nothing

I am currently taking Dicetel 3 times a day (pentavarium bromide or something like that), and it doesn't seem to be helping. I still wake up with pain every morning, and even after just a cup of weak tea (nothing else), I have to go to the bathroom 4-6 times!! Has anyone had any better success with other medications?

Okay, I've read all the symptoms of diabetes, dizziness: check
Headaches: check thirst: check

But I also was told that foot pain/ankle pain is worse in people with diabetes than those who don't have it, or they are more apt to develop foot problems.

I'm just wondering if I could have diabetes? I find that I get tired too quickly too, but something in me says I HAVE to eat chocolate candy every day... this is probably just an addiction though as I do not get sick by eating it.

Should I get checked for it just in case? I'm going to the doctor this week anyway for my weird ankle/knee pain.

I am 16. Back in January I was overweight. I weighed 154 lbs and I am 5'5.
At around the end of January I started getting Diarrhea from time to time. After a few months, I started getting Diarrhea more and more often so I told my mom. She said it's because I eat alot of fiber which causes diarrhea.
Since the end of May, It has been really bad. I would eat food and i'd immediately have to go move my bowels. I eat ALOT and never feel satisfied, and always feel weak as if i haven't eaten all day even though I DO, as I said, eat ALOT.
In the past few months, I have gotten down to 101 lbs without even trying.
I'm worried that something may be wrong with me. I know that I am clinically underweight and I don't know why I keep losing weight. I am sick of my stomach hurting, I am sick of having diarrhea, I am sick of feeling weak/sick, I am sick of being hungry all the time, I am sick of losing weight.
I told my mother & she scheduled a doctor appointment but it's not until November 2nd. Help?
