I feel sorry for you as one of the main side effects will be fatigue. My advice would be to take your injection about three hours before bedtime and also take some tylenol or ibuprofen about two hours after doing your injection. This way you can sleep through the worst of the flu-like side effects which generally begin about three or four hours after the injection. Put two more tablets by your bed and take them about an hour before trying to get up in the morning. Drink lots of water each day. Be good to yourself and try and rest as much as you can. Realize that interferon is very stressful and can make you depressed so if you feel like crap, remember that this is a drug side effect and will wear off in a day or two. Keep your tylenol or ibuprofen handy and repeat as needed. Be careful driving. It will be difficult to work full time while doing interferon. good luck

Yes! You can do this; I'm a pre K teacher and taught for the 6 months I was on treatment (although I was exhausted-but it was worth it because I am undetectable for 6 years and considered cured!). Rule #1- drink lots of water. Don't skip this- it works!
#2- eat small meals if you feel nauseous. #3 Do some type of exercise, even if it's just a small walk. #4- Talk to people who have done this- they are an invaluable resource. Joining a support group (in person) was the best thing I've ever done. Good luck.
