I have one swoleen lymph node in my neck. It doesn't hurt, its just bigger then normal. I know that lymph nodes are a sign of infection but I'm not sick, no sore throat or ear aches etc. I sometimes feel a bit tired but that's it. Also i get these drenching night sweats. Not really a temprature, just a low grade fever sometimes. I've had these symptoms for 3 weeks or so. Im 16 years old. I feel pretty good besides this stuff that is going on. Im going to the doctor soon i think. So if you guys have any idea on what it is let me know. I would have gone to the doctor sooner but I can only miss 5 days of school, and its hard to get an appt in the afternoon.

There may be a number of reasons for the lymph node and the symptoms you describe; however, it is quite concerning for lymphoma - a type of cancer. The only way to know for sure would be to remove the lymph node (called a biopsy) and look at the tissue under a microscope. You need to see your doctor as soon as possible and be sure to tell him about the fatigue and sweats. This is a potentially serious problem - but with early action it is very treatable.

As for the lymph node you could just be having some sinus drainage and it's pocketing there. usually people get excess drainage in the lymph nodes behind the ears. Night sweats could be related to a million different things. Do you suffer from low blood sugar? High blood sugar? Nightmares? Has in night sweats do you mean that your soaked and you are having to change your sheets? If not then I wouldn't worry to much about them it could be hormonal/chemical. Good Luck but most certainly check with your primary care doc.

Tell you parents - Immediately! If you are afraid to do that - get yourself to a Free health Clinic ASAP for an HIV test especially if you are sexually active. Night sweats are NOT normal. Hate to scare you - but you NEED to be tested for HIV.

Your best bet, obviously, is to see a doctor. Not to scare you, but it could be anything from a systemic infection or sepsis, to diabetes to lymphoma. Diagnostic testing is the only definitive answer. good luck! :)
