unexplained bruising? About 2 months ago, I noticed bruises all over my legs. I just assumed it was from swimming with the kids, you know how they kick you without meaning to. Well, for 2 weeks I was on vacation and I kept getting bruises. Most of them don't hurt, and most of them are in places that I'm not likely to hit by walking into a coffee table. Well, 2 weeks ago, I started getting bruises on my arms. I mean it when I say it looks like somebody has been beating me! My doctor took a blood sample and everything came back normal. She said she could test for indivual problems but each test would require a separate blood draw. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, do you know the cause for it? I'm tired of wearing long pants all the time and it's too hot to wear long sleeves!

Ok, question for maybe a dermatologists, or someone serious. AnywaysEver since I went to tech school, I have gotten these little bumps in my crease in the inner thigh, maybe a little bit more on the anus, but very close to my genitals. Anyways, I only get like 2 at a time, but this time, i irritated it and it is huge. Like I cannot sit down without ffeling it, it is raised up a lot, and i can move it around, it is red and circular but very raised up. I am pregnant also, haave only had 1 sex partner-my husband, so I do not know what it is. But this is the first time it has been this swollen. Thanks for any help. Oh yea, and all the little immature people that are going to respond with some stupid answer or comment"GROW UP".

I have a friend I think is becoming bulimic. She never eats alot of food at any one time, and I'm not sure if she is purging either. She is very stressed out and her parents don't think she is worth alot. At golf shes doesnt eat anything and if she does she throws it up, but not intentionally. I don't know if she is bulimic or not, but I would really like to find out if she is or not. I cannot talk to her and the only person she MIGHT talk to is her coach for golf. Please help!!!!!!

I deal with two diseases on a daily basis and have battled them since childhood. Myasthenia Gravis and Organic Brain Syndrome. During the day, nearly 100% of the time I feel relatively normal. After the sun begins its descent and the sky turns that beautiful redish, orangish, magenta type color, I begin feeling a change in my whole system. I become irritable, sometimes lackadaisical, and there are times I feel disoriented as if I don't have a clue what is going on around me. I have a cousin with this Myasthenia Gravis but have been told my maternal Grandfather suffered from this same nite time "curse" I like to call it. My family told me that Grandpa called it the Evening Shade or somethng like it. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? I have a wonderful family, very intelligent children that hate to see this happening to me but it seems to progress as I age and I am now only 42. The Doctors don't have a clue, all they want to do is keep me medicated. Help please. Thank you

Is anyone interested in an online support group for fibromyalgia sufferers? I know that there are some out there already, but most seem to be either a place where someone selling a "cure" can hawk their wares, or a place where no one is ever allowed to complain about what they're going through and say "I need to vent to someone who understands what this is like."

I'm talking about a message board, basically, where we can talk about what things work for us to reduce the pain, and what things help us get through the day despite the pain. Where we can get sympathy when we need to share our personal evil-doctor stories (or evil-relative, or evil-boss, or whatever) and know that other people have had the same problems. Where we can talk about the latest health news that has bearing on our particular condition.

If there is already such an online support group, please let me know. Otherwise, I intend to start one. Let me know if you are interested.

i am 39 weeks pregnant and still not dilating or 'ripening'. my pap was abnormal, they found a lesion on my cervix and wont touch it until after i deliver when they are going to repeat the pap. they say since cancer runs in my family, i have a good chance of having cervical cancer. but we wont know anything until after i deliver. what are the chances that my lesion is causing me to not dilate? and what do i have to look forward to after delivery if it is cancerous? SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY PLEASE!!!!!!!

I had a thought after I posted my first question. Is it inevitable that all type 2's become worse and are eventually insulin dependent no matter how well you eat, exercise, and do your best to take care of yourself? Or can the disease remain under control for a lifetime?
