I found out that I had HIV this year and I got the virus from my child's father. Luckily my child does not have it, However at the clinic that I go to I ran into his ex-wife who has had the virus for almost 11 years and afterwards found out that another one of his ex-girlfriends with whom he was cought cheating on me with has also had the virus for 2 years. "Coincidence" I think not. he has to have known that he had it. and we had talks about HIV before ever having sexual contact. Anyone that knows whether or not I can sue him please let me know.

I have been to about 5 beaches this summer alone and every single time i didnt have sunscreen so i was burned pretty severly everytime. I know skin cancer is caused by excess of UV light and i have had some pretty bad sunburns in my early childhood. So for those people who are really educated on this subject what do you think my risk is for skin cancer

I was diagnosed with a hyperactive thyroid about 18 months ago. Because I felt fine for many months and was going through other things at the time, I just blew it off. Big mistake. My thyroid gland grew so large that I ended up with a racing heartrate, extremely dry, flaky skin that itched so bad I thought about killing myself over it, extreme fatigue and problems with concentration.

After not having a good night's sleep for almost eight months, I drug myself to an endocrinologist. When medication didn't work, I ended up in a surgeons office, who advised me that untreated thyroid conditions can tax the heart so much, it can make you go into heart failure! I'm now one week post-op, and even though I'm still building up my stamina, I can't begin to tell you how much better I feel! It will take months for my skin to recover, but my concentration is back on track, my heartrate has returned to normal and I sleep like a dream! Please don't ever ignore a diagnosis like I did.

Hello Everyone, I have been researching a lot about breast cancer today because I have it.

This is what I have
Stage iV Met. Breast Cancer
4 infected nodes
2 tumors.....1) 3cm 2)1cm
Cancer cells on LIver but not a tumor
HER2/pos.

I am on my first round of CMF chemotherapy, and I take Herceptin every three weeks.

Everything I find on the internet isabout having 12-24 months to live. My onocologist has never said anything about my life being that short. I know there is a chance that I won't beat this, espeically if it spreads anywhere else......it was caughter earlier then one thinks, the spread anyway, cause I had a misscarriage and they said the higher hormones when I was pregnant is when it started to spread......

Any information or any websites where there is info on surviours would be great. Thanks.

My daughter, now three, was diagnosed at 22 months old. She has been on Novolog and Lantus ever since diagnosis. Although she hasn't had any major problems, I have been checking into alternatives that don't require so many injections during the day. I have been doing alot of research on insulin pumps in young children, which show many benifits. If you have had any experience with a younger diabetic involving diffrent insulins, regimens, or pumps I would like to hear from you. (I am not treating her myself, she is seen by some of the worlds top endocrinologist, I would just like to hear of others experiences to learn more about the options we have been checking and other diabetics circumstances. So with that said, do not refer me to seek a medical professionals opinion.)

I have been diagnosed with oral herpes and I am on Valtrex. I keep having outbreaks, even though I am on 1000mgs of Valtrex a day. Outbreak after outbreak with no break in between them. I am seeing my doctor again tomorrow, but in the meantime I am wondering what others do for relief. I have quit smoking, started taking vitamins and exercising.. I don't know what else to do. Please help!!

This has caused a serious problem because I have started to autimatically control it. When I want it to go on by itself, it just doesnt go right and I notice it. What do I do? At times hwne I'm just not thinking about it, I dont notice it at all. But when I think about it, it comes back. So how do I not think about it? People tell me to not think about it , but it is not possible.

its called 'gastritis' does anyone experinced or experincing this type of stomach problem? i heard it occur cuz of heavy drinking and eating spicy food or delay of the food. i used to be heavy drinker thats what caused my stomach lining to be inflamed, i been on prescription medicine such as pepcid and prilosec, its been 3 years since i have gastritis now i am only taking prilosec in the morning. i used to get heartburn but not anymore (touchwood). but the inflammation on my stomach lining is still present, perhapes little better than before but its not completely healed, i dont drink alcohol, dont smoke, dont eat too spicy then why my gastritis is taking too long to heal? i mean does it usualy take years or does it ever heal? one of my gastrontrology told me that it will heal but will take time and i should avoid eating/drinking acidic stuff. anyway this is one of the most common digestive problem among men and women now days. so does anyone else suffering from this common disease?

Wednesday evening my husband and went out to eat. we go to this place very often and get the fried calamari almost everytime..well this time we both got very very sick Saturday morning. . We are still sick and still having some severe symptoms of food poisoning. Is it possible we got it from the calamari? Also we went to eat friday and the only thing we ate in common was a ceasar salad. and this place makes them with anchovies...so that was a thought as well.
