its called 'gastritis' does anyone experinced or experincing this type of stomach problem? i heard it occur cuz of heavy drinking and eating spicy food or delay of the food. i used to be heavy drinker thats what caused my stomach lining to be inflamed, i been on prescription medicine such as pepcid and prilosec, its been 3 years since i have gastritis now i am only taking prilosec in the morning. i used to get heartburn but not anymore (touchwood). but the inflammation on my stomach lining is still present, perhapes little better than before but its not completely healed, i dont drink alcohol, dont smoke, dont eat too spicy then why my gastritis is taking too long to heal? i mean does it usualy take years or does it ever heal? one of my gastrontrology told me that it will heal but will take time and i should avoid eating/drinking acidic stuff. anyway this is one of the most common digestive problem among men and women now days. so does anyone else suffering from this common disease?

Hi Sam,

It sounds as if you´ve overgrown
your treatment. I imagine you've seen
plenty of Gastroenterologists, but I would go
for a second opinion. There are better meds
but it is not wise to give you names as I don't
know how they will affect you.

For a while, avoid any fruits and raw vegetables,
salads. By all means avoid all flatulence producing
foods, avoid starch, and see if it helps.

I strongly suggest you take care of this now; avoidance
will be a life long payment, with interest!....

Be well!

Don't eat too much fruit (the acids will irritate the stomach lining) cut out tomatoes. Coffee and soda and fruit juice will irritate too. A bland diet is best for a while and there are better drugs than those for gastritis. Protonix works really well, but sometimes the dose has to be double if your stress level is up (produces more stomach acid when you are more stressed)

I will try to keep it simple. Your metabolism is basically the rate at which your body burns calories to create energy. So the faster your metabolism, the faster you burn calories and the easier it is to lose unwanted weight. To boost your metabolism naturally you just need to eat the right foods.

You can sit down and literally eat a 1,000-calorie dinner and yet be absolutely starving just a few hours later and the reason is simple: Because your body didnt get what it needed in those 1,000 calories so it sends signals to your brain telling you to ingest more calories and thus, the late-night cravings. That means that the surest way to end those late-night cravings and keep your weight loss goals on track is to eat a more balanced, nutritious diet that actually gives your body what it needs.

It's VERY EASY to lose weight if you eat the right foods. Check out this video here: http://www.sexyjese.com - it will blow your mind.

A couple of things you will want to stay away from: * alcohol * caffeine * fatty foods * peppermint * citrus juices * black and red pepper * tomatoes and tomato products * chilies, chili powder and hot peppers * seasonings ~ onions, garlic, cinnamon, cloves Just to name a few. Stick with bland foods like bread, cheese, pasta, while your Nexium gets the job done. Flare ups can't be pleasant, so put your taste buds aside while you recoup.
