There are many drugs available for this (i.e. Enbrel which is a self-injectable but it costs over a thousand dollars for 4 pre-loaded syringes). If you have insurance it won't be so bad. But, currently there is no cure for reumatoid arthritis. It is generally treated by using pain releivers or methods of stress and tension releif. I hear some people have releif from seeing a massage therapist or acupuncturist. It is caused by inflamation of the joints. Whereas fibromyalgia is the opposite which is inflamation of the tissue. Neither of them have a cure, simply need to be suffered via temporary relief. :)

There is no cure for RA, but there are several treatments available. Antiinflammatory meds will help to relieve some soreness in the beginning, but aggressive treatment may be needed as the disease progresses. It is an autoimmune disease, meaning that your body actually attacks itself, in this case, your joints are the primary target. You need medications which will decrease the harmful effects...see a rhematologist...seek treatment early...it wil be better in the long run for you, before your joints suffer too much damage. Good luck! My mom has RA.

As some have already said their is no cure, I have it but am on medication. If you haven't been to a doctor that specializes in RA please do it. He or she will prescribe the right medicine for you. Fell better, I know first hand all to well what pain you have.
