yes, as a nurse I totally agree with petesdarkangel you should be asking your doctor about this- it sounds like you have some infection there but please go and see your doctor so he can decide on the best form of treatment for you!

Antibiotics treat an infection not swelling. In order to reduce inflammation it is necessary to use an anti-inflammatory medication. When I had my surgery I used frozen uncooked rice in zip lock bags to reduce swelling. It conformed to my shape and did not have a lot of condensation. Ask your doctor for some pain medication and his advise on the swelling. I know it really is so painful.

I did a lymph massage on myself. You ever so lightly rake your fingers toward the center of your chest. It should not hurt if you are using a light touch. Also did they give your any exercises? No matter how much it hurts it helps. Good luck. Here's to perfect radiant health.
