The book I am writing is real. I have lost all family to cancer. I do not know how many other people have had such a terrible loss. I am only 44 years old and lost dad, mom, sister (age 26), and sister (46) in the last ten years. It is so hard to be the caregiver but yet I wouldn't take it back for the world. I would like to help any other people with my own terrible ordeal. I do not know how to start sending the book off. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You

Yesterday I had a rather small acne cyst on my cheek that really hurt. I can't leave my acne alone so I squeezed and squeezed it until it hurt even more. Only clear pus came out. Now it is red and SWOLLEN (whole cheek and down into my jaw). It really looks terrible and it's embarrassing. I have been putting Neosporin on it as much as possible. Is there anything I can do besides the obvious - leave my acne alone?? I am a 27 yr. old female and that's the most embarrassing thing. Anything to relieve the swelling until it heals? Thanks so much!!!

I have a carotid artery blockage, and wonder if the swishing noise in my ears and the faster heart rate when I first wake in the morning is related to his.

I have hives from an allergic reaction. The doctor gave me a prescription (xantac) to get rid of them, but they are still very itchy. What can I do to stop the itching?

Have had this for some months and medication I am taking is not that much help. Mine is sleep related which is hilarious since I have severe insomnia-wide awake for at least 2 nights in a row and yet function daytime with NO grogginess and people tell me they cannot understand how I can be so up! I am experimening ,in a safe way, of course, to determine if this is caused by low blood sugar (dibetis). Life can sure seem like a yo yo experience, but at least it isn't boring! Any help is appreciated. God bless Marlyne B

A friend of my brother has been diagnosed with shingles. I was just told by an older lady that if the rash goes all the way around and makes it back to where it started the person will die. Has anybody heard this before?

I can't get into the doctor until the end of the month and I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or knows what this may be. It's been there for about to weeks with no change.

I really want to be tested for HSV -1 orally, since I was 5 I've had a problem with sores on the inside and outside of my mouth. I went in last week to get a swab test done, and the doctor said that because I did not have any sores present at the time, that the test would likey just show a (possible false) negative.

I'm wondering if there is any other way I can get tested for this, without sores present (it seems they are somewhat linked to stress, and apper when I'm very angry or stressed out). Like an antibody test or something, or even if I could swab my own mouth when I have sore, or even cut one off and put it in a test tube. No this is not a joke, and I'm asking here because of the lack of information I am finding on testing, as well as I dont really want to waste any more money on doctor visits. Sources are most appreated.
