Have had this for some months and medication I am taking is not that much help. Mine is sleep related which is hilarious since I have severe insomnia-wide awake for at least 2 nights in a row and yet function daytime with NO grogginess and people tell me they cannot understand how I can be so up! I am experimening ,in a safe way, of course, to determine if this is caused by low blood sugar (dibetis). Life can sure seem like a yo yo experience, but at least it isn't boring! Any help is appreciated. God bless Marlyne B

try vit b injections from a naturopathic doctor. Calcium is also good to take before bedtime.

That disorder is also called PLM (Periodic Leg Movement) disorder. Basically, your legs are jerking while you are asleep and they can be a cause of your insomnia too. The medication that I see our physician prescribing most of the time is Mirapex (pramipexole). Side effects can be insomnia, fatigue, weird dreams, nausea, sleepiness - which should subside after a while. In clinical trials this med has shown up to 90% effectiveness with PLMd sufferers.
