Yes. Call your doctor and ask him if they tested for meningitis. If they didn't, get him to the emergency room NOW!
Otherwise, I haven't a clue what it could be.

Make sure you keep a eye on him before his Cat scan next week..if he starts to vomit, his headaches become worse, his walk becomes unsteady, decreased level of consciousness, the dark part of his eye (pupil) one becomes larger than the other, or anything that is disturbing to you (you know what is normal for your son) then get him to an ER ASAP

Can he move his head to either side and up and down? If he can't, then take him to the ER immediately. Meningitis could be a real possibility, and it is something that can't wait until next week.

Anything is possible, but form the symptoms that you are describing it could be meningitis or encephalopathy. You better check with your doctor instead of depending on the answers on the web!!!!!

probably meningitis. these symptoms and signs point to something wrong neurologically, and mengitis is all i can think of. if it gets worse, get a spinal tap done. good luck to you and your son.
