You and Sandy the other person who replied are welcome to join my support group, http://www.lymphland.com is my website and support group is based in Yahoo groups, same name, there is a link to join the group from my site. Hi,

My name is Sandy and I have had lymphedema in both legs for the past 10 years. I had cancer and went through lymph di-sect within 2 weeks I noticed swelling and pain. It took approximately three years and a boat load of doctors to figure out what I had. I have been through manual lymph drainage at Kaiser in San Diego where they taught me how to massage and bandage my legs. It is almost all I can do to keep the swelling under control. I have quit my job and moved to a colder climate in order to keep a somewhat normal life (as if that will ever happen again). I am trying to get disability but "this condition does not fall under disability guidelines"

I would sure love to correspond with someone who is in the same boat

I have pitting edema (where you press on the skin for a second and it stays indented). No one has really figured the cause out yet. Tried Lasix a few years ago, but it didn't help.
