I had terrible, terrible lower back pain about a year ago. So much so that I could barely move without wincing in pain. My father recommended I see a chiropractor. After two weeks, my back was much better, and started seeing the chiropractor once every two weeks to a month. Last week my husband began complaining of the same problem with his back. I sent him to my chiropractor. But his back seemded to be getting worse with muscle spasms. He went to his GP, who gave him a lecture about chiropractors and how they only offer a temporary fix. He said nobody and move or shift the spine (agreeably). Then he told my husband all he had was muscle spasms, and prescribed him some muscle relaxers. NOw--aren't those just a temporary fix as well? Is there a natural way to heal the back that is permanent? My uncle prefers acupuncture. My aunt prefers biohealing. What is your take?

I'm really stressed out for a number of reasons, and years ago I tried kava kava and it really helped. Now, I can't find it locally anymore, and there was apparently concerns about liver toxicity so it maybe got pulled from shelves. Any other (legal, safe, available) suggestions for an herbal sedative?

My Doctor prescribed steriod cream which I have been using for over a year. It thins the skin so I am not keen on using it any more. I have started taking Evening Primrose capsules as I heard they may help. Any other suggestions ?

I read a question someone posed on here which essentially said "google Dr Burton Goldberg." When I did this article came up

I have seen enough to agree with the general viewpoint listed there, although I cannot comment on the veracity of some of the details.
However, it seems to be a very well written summation of some of the criticisms of allopathy, so what are your thoughts on the matter?
I tried to write this in an unbiased fashion, so humor me and try to be friendly :)

Should I take a diuretic pill? What can I do? My face gets puffy when I've eaten too much junk food. (I've learned the hard way). I won't do it again. How can I get it to go down for morning. Last time I did this, (at Christmas) my face was puffy all day the next day.
