I have a mosquito bite on my wrist that I really know I shouldn't scratch, so i have a band aid over it, but is there anyway to make it stop itching? It's REALLY bad and I could barely fall asleep last night cause it itched so badly and I have the SAT tomorrow and I can't have it as a distraction.
How tips on making it feel less itchy? DIY at home type of thing?

There is a fascinating article in Science News about it this week, and it sounds like a wonder herb! The article lists improvement in sleep, better able to handle stress, depression relief, improved stamina, boost of mental energy, and correction for diabetes. It sounds like the Soviet Union has been studying the effects for 60 years and found it did wonderful things for their athletes. I was wondering if anyone had tried it and had an opinion of its use?

My adult children, a son 21 years and a daughter 20 years old have in the last 2-3 years developed allergies to fruit. Their tongues and mouth itch like crazy when they eat fruit. Only fresh though..canned doesnt affect them. It started with my son with I think cantalope then as years have gone by his list has gotten longer. My daughter started shortly after him with the list growing also as time passes. It is very aggravating to them because they have always eaten very healthy and fruit has always been a good part of their diet. They now try to eat it because they love it so but stop when the itching gets unbearable. We have spoken to Drs who have of course just said take Benedryl or another antihistimine. Why would they both develop this so closely together? What can they do to eat the fruit they love so without taking drugs.

and though there are many well-meaning people, I am not concerned with other opinions. I would like to receive suggestions for my birth plan. Once I receive suggestions, I will pursue the topics and do my own research. What I would like is to give my doctor a list of things that I do not want done at my babies birth, that are routine, but not necessary... such as bathing the baby in a soap or solution, vitamin K injections, Oxytocin for me (I will breastfeed right away to cause my uterus to contract), etc. This is my first child and because I'm not aware of everything that goes on, suggestions would be really valued. I want my baby to be healthy and safe, but I would also like to avoid as much of the hassle and injections, routines, etc. as possible. thanks~
