Alternative Medicine - December 2006

There are no regulations (with respect to trials, standardized dosing) on herbs which truly constitute "drugs" (where do you think aspirin, penicillin, -conazoles, foxglove/digitalis came from). Every year people die from herbs. Ever hear of chinese herb nephropathy, or fulminant liver failure from Kava and this other crap? Why do people listen to these Quacks?

Drinking a detox tea made with a blend of many things but mainly Jamaican Sasparilla, Cinnamon Bark, Licorice root , ginger, burdock, dandelion root, Juniper berry....
