It is safe to take two, not a problem, but I would suggest that you eat something soon and taking them on an empty stomach can reduce their effectiveness.
Hope you feel better soon!

Paracetamol aside, lack of healing vitamins and goodies from eating food will slow your body's healing reaction to the neck muscle. A good massage of the neck and shoulder regions would help tons.
Asking a pharmacist for either cold or hot cream for the muscle will help too. If the injury isn't enough to take you to a doctor, at least run it by a pharmacist. Don't home medicate!
One of my business partners locates all her stress on her neck muscles and the only way she gets around it is with a cold heat cream. My other business partner once put his neck out of whack and spent the day in pain. His solution came with a night of Long Island Ice Teas! When he woke in the morning his neck was perfect.

It is safe to take two, but I wouldnt advise you to continue taking paracetamol based products/ ibuprofen on an empty stomach over a long period of time. I knew someone who did this and now she has problems with her digestive system. As for the aching muscles in your neck, have you considered booking yourself in for an Indian Head, Neck and Shoulder Massage at your local complementary health centre? i think you would benefit from this!

Paracetamol is gentle on the stomach and can be taken without food at all. anti-inflamatory medication is the type of pain relief that u need to have eaten first cause it isnt so gentle on the stomach.
Id take 2 500mg tablets for pain, but follow the instructions on the packet

I'm assuming you are over 12....so the dosage is 1000mg (1g) so take two 500mg tablets. Is perfectly safe to take on an empty stomach.

You can take a maximum of two every six hours officially - BUT (and purely out of interest!) I take two paras at 500mg AND a Tramadol 50mg together first thing every morning for pains and I might as well not take ANYTHING for what good they do me - and YES - this is under both my Doctor's and the hospital's directions.

You don't have a paracetomol deficiency so find out what's causing the pulled muscle in the neck.
Ice pack will help. When it doubt, ice it.
It will keep the swelling and inflammation down in your neck.

yes you can safely take two but take no more than eight tablets in twenty four hours. while they wont hurt you the empty stomach would probally do you more damage and nothing to do with the paracetamols. always eat breakfast

1000 mg ok for a single dose, if your body weight is normal, you have no known history of bad tolerance: always good to eat something like some bread piece or biscuit to make a 'base' for the medicine. Drink a lot of water with the medicine for good absorption.
