Last night I felt a hard/bubbly spot on the upper inside part on the right side of my gums. After brushing my teeth before going to bed I felt it with my toungue and it went to being soft and red? I'm not sure what it is and I'm a little scared. It looks irritated but im not sure what may have caused the problem..

Today It's still red and I feel a throbbing in that spot with no pain. What could this be?? Should I go see a DR?

The non-profit I work for dropped its on-site TB testing program for employees. Now, despite already low wages, they want us to foot the bill for that too if we want to keep on working there. Does anybody know if free tb testing is offered anywhere else in the Phoenix area without having to sign on as a volunteer or employee? I thought maybe Maricopa County Hospital might, but I'm not sure. Thx in advance.

Thank the powers that be, I'm finally able to get to a dentist tomorrow. I think I have an infected/abscessed tooth. Hopefully they will give me some antibiotics right away and be able to start work ASAP.

My question is: Is there a chance that I can get liquid antibiotics? I wanted to know ahead of time to set me at ease. I've always had a hard time swallowing pills, but these last couple months I've had problems with even small "easy swallow" pills.

Also, I've seen liquid painkiller on the shelves for adults... is there a prescription-grade liquid pain killer?

(yeah, I'm a wuss, go ahead and say it).

And - who writes the prescription, anyway? I'm guessing its the dentist herself.

I'm 26, last time I went to the dentist, I was 17 and my parents always took care of crap like this.

Thanks ahead of time!

Does painting a small bedroom by yourself burn much calories? It doesn't seem like a vigorous workout, but I'm tired from rolling the rollers on the wall all day.

What have been the problems? How much of a problem is it? When did it occur? Are you involved in any litigation?

Hello...I have been on blood pressure meds. since I was18, both my grandfathers died in their 40's from a heart attack, my dad had a blockage at 32 and had triple bypass surgery at 44. I have ashma but was having more severe attacks with chest pains when I excersised and just laying down. I went to doc. thinking it was something else and had an abnormal EKG. Are there other reasons for an abnormal EKG that could not be serious, like because I was nervous or stressed? I am having a stress test done on friday with a treadmill but my dad is worried I am not having a sonagram with it, should I be? If the stress test is fine the doc. said everything is ok...but I still will be worried b/c of the 1st reading and family history. Am i worrying too much? I would greatly appreciate your help.....

Ever since I was a little girl, I could never tell me left from my right. I went to Catholic school and always made sign of the cross with my left, and when someone tells me to turn left, I get confused and sometimes turn right.
Okay, I know that 19 is old to start driving, but I am just starting. I drove several times around my neighborhood and when came to intersection, my mother would say and I'd go right.
I have a tiny birthmark on my right, so I have to look at my hands when i am confronted with left/right. I have been tested for IQ three times, and no one ever said I had dyslexia. I don't see letters backwards or anything.
I'm scared because when I drive, I can't examine my hands each time i am told to go a certain direction.
Will this be a problem? Does it sound like a mild dyslexia or something else? Am I safe to drive (based on this problem)?

My Grandma had a cancerous tumor removed from her colon back on June 29, 07 and needed 3 months with a temp colostomy bag to heal properly. The doctors gave her some chemo options for treatment. She is debating on which she should do first....Should she have the chemo first before her reverse colostomy surgery? Or should she have the colostomy surgery first and then have chemo treatments once she has healed? I am just wondering if anyone has experienced this situation.....any advice would be appreciated. Thank you for your time, Jennifer

The fact that they don't even care. You go out of your friggin way to get to a walk in clinic because you feel like crap, you get there and have to wait forever to see a doctor (like they're the pope or something) and when you finally get in there they kind of brush you off and fill a prescription that really doesn't make sense to you because they didn't even listen to your symptons. Then when you tell them you missed work they start over reacting and saying they can't issue time off because they don't know you? but they can prescribe you medication? The fact of the matter is I was sick and I wasn't looking for time off I was looking for help and the doctor just rushed me along. And then when I went to leave they asked me to pay
15$ just for a lousy letter. GEEZ!
ANYONE ELSE HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY? I WANT TO HEAR IT!

I was wondering if their is anyone out there who might be able to shed some light on my situation. Please don't be mean or judgemental. Basically, I "float" through life, I don't really feel much emotionally. The only things that make me "feel" are usually dangerous. Examples; "deviant" sexual behavior, excessive speed, for instance going 130 mph down a back road, basically doing anything I know I shouldn't do. I feel like I get a rush of blood that pumps through my heart and I feel like I take in a breath of life. I would never hurt anyone, I guess I just don't mind putting my life at risk, that is what gives me happiness. I have heard of adrenaline junkies but I feel that my problem goes deeper than that. I feel like life doesn't have enough to offer me unless I am pushing the limits. I know this is strange, but I almost get an "out of body" expierence when I get hurt, like most people would be in pain but I get a rush. What is wrong with me? Am I depressed, psychotic, bored???

I am getting the upper GI in two days, i went to the doc yesterday for my upper stomach pains, extreme bloating and burning under my breastbone and burning under my armpits and sides of my breast are very tender. The doc scheduled an upper Gi to find out if there is an infection or ulcer and or polyps in my stomach causing all this discomfort.

My question is will this test tell what is actually causing all this discomfort and or will this just be another day off of work with no results?

I am currently taking nexium and carafate together which seem to be helping but I can barely eat w/out becoming very uncomptable until the food digest.
