Very simply put diabetes is a lack of, or too much of sugar (or insulin) in your body. It's very difficult to diagnose a person with diabetes because every meal you have and every time you exercise your insulin levels change. Certain organs won't function very well without the right amount of insulin. Type 1 diabetes (not enough insulin) can make you feel very weak and possibly faint if you don't get sugar quickly. Type 2 (too much sugar) can cause confusion, lack of eyesite (similar to getting a head rush when standing up too quickly).
That is just a brief outline of diabetes.

:o)

If diabetes is controlled it will harm you very slowly in old age. But if it is not controlled then it wont let you live easily.
* It wont let you eat your favourate food any more. But you will get used to it.
* It makes you weaker
* It gives you confusion
* It can harm any of your body organ and completly damage it
* Your body will stop telling you what is wrong with you cuz it effects the nerves (And that is the worst part)
* It slows down all of your body function. Thats why healing process takes double time.
Still many more damages it can give you.

PK-Dancer,
That is not true, I have cut my feet several times and they are still attached to my body. It just takes 2x's longer to heal. All diabetes is is when your body has no insulin or not enough.
With the things that are out now, diabetes is a very manageable disease.

If not controlled it can cause poor circulation, therefore resulting in amputations. Or blindness or kidney failure or death. There is a lot more but that is the main ones that come to mind.

If its not controlled, it can cause organ failure, amputation of limbs, nerve damage, blindness and ultimately death! So please if u have it keep it under control.
