please help me! my one friend was once suscidal. she tryed to kill her slef twice and she used to slit her wrist. now she lives with her gram and she want to send her to a meantal hospital where she wont be ale to see her friends and her boyfriend. well her boyfriend isn't talkiong to her and shes cutting herslef again because he was always the one that got her throught it last time and i don't know what to do. i know if she has to leave she will kill herself beacuse she doesn't want to go back there again and i don't know how to help her. please someone help me! i need to do something befor she does something really stupid!!

My 83-year old father-in-law fainted and fell and hit his head five days ago. He was taken to the local suburban hospital. Since he has been in the hospital, his kidneys shut down, because his catheter wasn't working, and he now has a staph infection and a blood infection. In addition, he has terrible back pain (undetermined cause) for which the hospital is refusing to give him pain medication. He was sent to the ICU last night, and they fixed the catheter to restore some kidney function. The infections persist, yet the doctors are talking about doing surgery in five days to put in a pacemaker when they have not exhausted all possible causes of his fainting episodes. My sister-in-law and mother-in-law are dealing with the situation on the ground, but my wife and I (from 1,500 miles away) feel as if this is the Keystone Cops where the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. What should we suggest to improve the level of his care?

my lowerback/side kinda hurts like my lovehandels hurts, it my right side and it hurts really bad to walk, the only reason im thinking its my kidneys bc my friend before she had a kidney transplant always complained about that area hurting what are someother signs that it could be my kidneys ...... thanks !

First of all I would like to say that I went to my university's health service clinic today, but all they did was give me a pregnancy test. I have an appointment with my regular doctor at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, so please do not put "SEE A DOCTOR" or anything like that as your answer. I'm just curious as to whether anyone else has had these symptoms before and what their diagnosis was.

I woke up around 4:00 a.m. today with SEVERE stomach pain... probably the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. It was so bad that I had a hard time even sitting up or standing. About an hour later I felt nauseous and started throwing up. I was really sick for about two hours, then I went back to sleep. When I woke up a couple hours later, the constant stabbing pain was gone, but I have a sharp pain in my lower right abdomen every time I move, cough, etc. If I put any pressure on the right side of my stomach, it is really painful. I also have a fever of 100.1 degrees.

Has anyone had this before?

I'm a teenager still and im short. I am 5'5 and 160 pounds. I am about 30 pounds over weight. I am a vegitarian and a very picky eater. I barely like any vegitables (I know im a vegitarian lol) and im picky with fruits. I love breads ans\d sugar. I am always self concious about myself in school. I wanna loose as much weight as fast as i can. my goal is 130 pounds, which i was last in June. I want to be able to be comfortable wearing a tee shirt in spring and be comfortable swimming without a shirt on. I have been struggling with weight problems since the third grade. I am still in school from 7 to 3 so i cant eat many small meals. CAN ANYONE HELP?!?!?!?! I know it is possible to loose 20 pounds in 10 days so can anyone help me? Please no mean or sarcastic answers
