my throst feels really scratchy and it feels like i have something stuck in my throat when i open my mouth wide i see little white patches on the back of my throat they go away after awhile but they really dont hurt they are more annoying than anythingcan anyone tell me what they might be and what might help them

I'm a nurse. This isn't a good thing you speak of. You need to see a doctor for your discomfort. It could be strep to any other infection. Don't worry until you have a proper diagnoses. You will however need an antibiotic to treat this, make an appointment.

It can also be "Thrush," a yeast infection called Candida albicans, usually due to poor dental health or a depressed immune system. Go to a doc, as Strep is very contagious at the least.
If you can't afford one, herbal anti-fungal remedies are Oregano oil and garlic; capsules and mouth gargle, keep a piece of garlic in your mouth like chewing tabacco.
If you have red blotchy rashes, that can bring it down, check out pictures of Dermatitus Hepitformus on the internet, its called Celiacs Disease - What happened to me to bring it down - If so, RESEARCH IT WELL

When I had white patches on my tonsils, it was tonsilitis. I also wonder if this might just be some nasty post-nasal drip? If it goes away after you drink a lot of water that what it might be. But you should see a doctor to be sure.

Strep throat...You need antibiotics

if it's around your tonsils then it could be strep
