How did you hurt your hand? If it is a recent trauma, just putting ice on it should not pose any danger to the baby.

One nice thing about soft tissue injury and pregnancy: Right now, there are alot of hormones circulating in your body that are getting your body ready to deliver that baby. These hormones tend to soften your ligaments, make them more lax. This tends to exacerbate soft tissue problems. . . BUT. .. once the baby comes, the hormones stop doing this, and you will likely feel much better.

If you are in need of closer attention for this hand, you can find a physical therapist who has special training in women's health, and/or orthopedics. Go to APTA.org, click on "find a PT", and search your home area. There is a special symbol beside any therapist's name who is a board-certified specialist.

Good luck!

depends on what is damaged...

Soft tissue means its not a broken bone.

A support splint and appropriate support bandaging may help....
