My husband's uncle has this nasty flu that's going around… (late 50's early 60's, but terribly overweight. This is a guy that SERIOUSLY doesn't take care of himself well at all.)

This flu actually shut down 4 wards of a major hospital today because 30 patients and 25 employees all came down with it... (everyone I know is getting the darn thing!!)

Because he's gotten so dehydrated today he's been admitted to the hospital.

He went pretty much straight to ICU, delirious and suffering kidney failure. (They are setting up dialysis for him asap.) His prognosis is apparently not great.

Has anyone ever heard of this? Kidney failure from the flu? Seriously? If you've heard of it do you think his kidneys will recover once the flu is over? He won't need dialysis forever will he?

Are you suffering from manic depression bought on by being body dis-morphic,I have a son who suffers with this condition and refuses to take medication for it because he thinks there is nothing that can help him.He doesn't realise he is body dis-morfic so thinks there is no help.He really believes there is something wrong with him, and there isn't,none of us can convince him,he says we are only saying he is normal because we love him and don'tr want to hurt him.
I am now desperate to know what to do before he does take his life. He has gradually cut all of his family off and it's now hard to even get him on the phone.I am thinking of sectioning for his own safety.Anyone know what else I can do.Help please.Sincere answers only please,this is a last ditched attempt for help before taking that step.

This is from the recent article on Yahoo! news. It said that sharing body jewelry can transfer Hep C, and I assume that body jewelry includes ear piercings. Are cases of Hep C being transferred by jewelry common, specifically involving earrings? I don't have my ears pierced; I'm just worried for the welfare of my cousin. :)

mostly on the bottom jaw, I'm only 31 (female), I smoke about 10 ciggarettes a day or less but otherwise I am fairly healthy, no alcohol or drugs,although I have had more stress than usual in the past 2 years, is there anything to reverse or stop this from happening, aswell as giving up smoking?

I am 35 and have had a hysterectomy. I am having major hot flashes. It can be 0 degrees and I have the air and fan on high and still sweat profusely. I have tried ERT but the pills make my sick and the patches won't stay on because I sweat so much. My doctor refuses to give me shots. Can anyone help me? Also to those who have had a hysterectomy--do you now feel less of a women since you don't have your parts?

I was playing football with my mates and me and my mate accidentdely ran into each other.. well i put his force all into my left leg(thigh).. And it hurts so bad i can't even walk properly...

yet even now, when i'm on the verge of falling asleep, i sometimes get full body convulsions that i am unable to control. i am fully aware of it happening, so i assume it's not a seizure. i didn't have this until i started taking depakote, and it started happening while i was still on it, and was late in taking my meds. what's happening to me?

I sweat a lot under my arm pits. I usually swap deoderants daily so my armpits don't get used to one kind of anitpersperent so it works. But I mean only after 2 hours of putting it on I sweat and it smells halfway of the deoderant and sweat. For a girl this is VERY embarrasing.. guy's it's easier for because they're expected not to smell all sweet all the time. Does anyone know of any type of deoderant I could use or a method to help calm the sweat and smell? I don't exactly turn heads away from the smell but only I smelll it and it bothers me. I want to not do it, but it's all I can think about, and I know that it's a bad idea but I can't think of any reason not to do it. I don't care about the scars, and it won't kill me, but really I wouldn't care that much if it did anyway, so why shouldn't I just cut?
