It is believed that non-veg food gives more strength and you get some amino acids, which do not get if you take veg foods. But, that advantage is negligible compared to the benefit of health and fitness that you gain in being vegetarian. As a vegetarian, you must take a lot of vegetables and fruits, to really derive the benefit out of it. Besides, you must practise yoga, pranayama and meditation.
