Some how your set your internal clock to wake you up at that time, yes there is such a thing. To fix this go to bed at the same time every night and wake up at the same time. Stick to the schedule eventually your body will accept it and you should be able to sleep whenever you want.
There might also be something happening at 2 am, a neighbor coming home/leaving and in the quiet of your house you hear them and it wakes you. This also you should get used to with time.

I'm like that too! I could nod out at 1100p thinking I'd sleep at least until 4 or 5a but no, at 2a there I am looking at the ceiling and I can't get back to sleep. I used to think it was because I pulled the mid shift while I was in the military but I don't know so much now because I got out in 1991!!

reset your body clock. Start by going to sleep at 2 am or later then you won't wake up at 2 am. Gradually work back to normal sleeping times.
