Myself being from the south does not mean that I don't care about the north where the disease is spreading fast. I pray to dear Allah that this calamity will be contained soon enough by our doctors.

I am a 19 year old male who has had a skin tag maybe half the size of a pencil eraser in my armpit ever since I can remember. For all I know I was born with it.
A few days ago I bumped it or something and noticed that it felt kind of painful. I've had it forever and it never really bothered me before so i thought that this was kind of odd. It has been painful like this for a couple days now. It is not all that painful, just hurts a bit when I move it around. It feels like it only hurts on the stalk. I noticed that it has also changed in color. It always used to be just slightly darker than the skin around it, but it has gotten a very dark brown almost black. The stalk appears to be maybe a bit red and irritated looking.

I have read on the internet that these things rarely ever or actually do not become cancerous or anything, but I am still really worried. Is it possibly cancer? Should I go to the doctor or is it just getting ready to fall off?

I have heard that the HPV shot is out now. But is it a preventitive measure, or do they give it to people that do have HPV as well?

I'm 35 years old but look about 25 years old, sometimes I'm even asked for proof of age when I go to supermarkets to buy alcohol which I find hilarious....

I have never done anything to look younger.. I just use facial wash, cleanser and moisturiser at night.. that's it.. but I do feel a pressure to keep look young mostly in terms of my weight. I'm 5 ft 5 inches tall and weigh 8 stone 4 libs so am reasonably slim.. I used to believe that when I reached my 30's the pressure to be thin would diminish but it's just as bad as ever... people still judge you by what weight you are...

It's weird really that women are expected to look like 20 year olds even if they have kids.. and I have one child... will it get better when I reach my 40's????

I eat a fairly healthy diet, exercise moderately, and I usually get 6 1/2 to 7hrs sleep a night, but as the week goes on I feel increasingly more tired, so that by Saturday all I want to do is sleep!

How can I boost my energy levels? I'm fed up of wasting my days off catching up on sleep!!!

I been having pains in my chest, right underneath the rib cage. It starts off with a small pain, sharp feel. Then the pain gets worst, on a pain scale 1-10 its about a 10+. My vision then gets really dark, I feel like I'm going to pass out, and I break out into a sweat. While all of this happens the pain slowly goes away. This happend to me at work once and my co-workers told me also that I turn white as a ghost and my eyes role in the back of my head. I have been telling doctors about this for a couple of months now and they don't seem concerned cuz its not in their field of expertise. These episodes only happend four times since March.

I've tried cold turkey. I've tried easing myself off.

Like others, I get the typical withdrawl symptoms.

I've read lots of information from the internet, etc and I understand that the withdrawl symptoms go away after 5 days of non-use, but short of having someone lock me in a room with no access to caffeine for 5 days, how do I kick it to begin with?

Did that make sense?

Notes:
- I have read wikipedia, how stuff works, etc. so please don't repost that info.

- Smart remarks / lame answers (like "2 points") will be ignored for good or bad.

- If anyone cares to delve into another can of worms, given the prevalence of caffeine-based products in America, what are some ideas for staying off caffeine if I am able to kick it?

I work graveyard shifts, I enjoy my job I even enjoy the late hours. Lately I have found it hard to sleep. I just moved into a new apartment for the first few weeks sleep was fine but now I'm averaging maybe 3 hours every day. THis is not enough I have been highly fatigued, absent minded, my job performance has been affected, and I'm beginning to have early stages of hallucinations. I have spoken with a doctor he prescribed prescription sleeping pills, but I'm not sure if that's how I want to solve this. Is there anything else besides sleeping pills that could help me get rest?

Or maybe thinking "one day i'll have that disease" and you get it. Is it really possible? Does mind over matter exist when it comes to disease?

Just a little thing to mention. Farrah Faucett, former Charlie's Angel, has cancer. She used to be the spokesperson for the American Cancer Society back in the 70's. Kate Jackson AND Jaclyn Smith, the other two angels, also had cancer. Ryan O'Neal, Farrah's former lover, had leukemia. Does cancer have a tendency to reach so many people in a very coincidental way?
