im 5'5 and 140 lbs (overweight). my doctor has suggested that i go on the 1000 calorie diet but i find it difficult to stay on this diet for more than a couple of days. on the third day i just binge on anything i can find in my kitchen because im so hungry and exhausted by then. i also have no willpower whatsoever and i give in to my cravings often. my question is how do i stick to 1000 calories a day when two biscuits are 300 cal? has anyone had any luck with this diet? any help would be much appreciated = )

Lately I've felt hopeless. My stomach has hurt, I don't have much of an appetite.. and when I eat something It sometimes makes me feel sick. At first I thought I was sad because of feeling sick for the past two weeks, but now i'm thinking it's the other way around. I also feel tired. someone I know has a wife whos husband died from cancer abt 7/8 years ago. They have been married to her for 6 yrs now and unfortunately EVERY SINGLE day since then without fail she has something "Wrong" with her be it...bad knee, colon probs, etc If she reads bout it she has it. She always Has to have something wrong, and when she gets doc tests and the docs says A OK. She find something else. She really "asks" for attention. But when you give it to her..It encourages it. When you dont, She gets mad like you dont care. We have tried all kinds of tactics. Some others have even been blunt about telling her its in her head. Some have given all thier attention. It truly is a sickness and I know she needs Therapy, but you cant get someone to go to therapy unless they believe they have a problem. Right now she has every side effect from meds she is on for something else. Not healthy. We care.It is wearing on this mans marriage. What to do? SIX YEARS everyday.victim, pessimist..

My wife is troubled about her weight... she works full-time grave yards hours, cares for four children during the day and is caring full units in college. She usually gets three to four hour of sleep, sometime consistent but mostly broken. Her physical activity isn’t what it should be but most of the time she’s too tired to even try. She has about 20lbs that she wants to lose and is going about it in all the wrong ways. How many calories should she be in taking in a day to keep up with a schedule like she has? Hello,
this is a "two part question" if you will, about one of my friends
first of all, she will from time to time 'zone out' as i call it. a time in which she used to just stare into blank space, and i would hvae to touch her or say her name to 'bring her o ut of it' and now its gotten to the point where she clenches her hands, her eyes dart back and forth, she breaths heavily, and i have to yell her name or shake her to bring her out of it... im really worried, what could this be?
also, she will occasionally have sharp pains in her side and lungs when she tries to inhale, so bad that she occasionally gasps out or yells because it hurts so much
i know she should see a doctor, but she is extremely stubborn, so i f igured i would ask all of you before i brought it up further
only eduacted answers please, this is a serious problem and i need serious answers..

My friend's 6 year old son has terminal cancer. He has been bravely fighting this disease for two years and his mother has been unable to work due to her son's treatment schedule. She also has a two year old daughter that she must shuffle back and forth to caretakers while she is in the hospital (an hour away from home) with her sick boy. Six months ago, her car was repossesed for non-payment because she couldn't afford it. She receives only enough assistance from the government to pay for rent and some bills. A local cancer charity has allowed her the use of a car to get back and forth to treatments, but that won't last forever. We just got news that her son has two to six months to live and I'm sure she won't be able to go back to work right away. Any suggestions?

I learned that if your feeling really hot and you can't cool down you should put an ice cube on your wrist.
I've done it and it worked for me.
