Hi,
I just spent like 10 minutes typing my answer, but when I tried to preview it, it erased the entire thing. Sorry I lost my answer for you....I am so bummed!!! I did find some really great quotes to post for you, but the only thing I have left is this last one I cut/pasted:
My goal in life is to be as good of a person my dog already thinks I am. ~Author Unknown
I thought that was kind of cute. Anyway, listen to the little voice that talks to you when you do things....that is your "real you". The older you get, you'll learn more about what makes you you. Please stop changing for people, just be yourself. Some people will like you, some people won't, but that is ok. The main point is that YOU like you. Many times in your life, you will find yourself alone...with just you to keep you company. That experience is so much more pleasant if you actually LIKE the person you've become. You think "hey, I'm kind of cool to hang out with!".
Listen to your little voice, be true to yourself, and I'm sure you'll love the person you become....!
Good luck to you :-)

When you live for other people its real easy to lose yourself. Finding your center, the real authentic you, should be a priority for you. or your life will be a shallow one.
Maybe you listen to all the outer voices, and not the inner one? The inner voice is the real you. To get back to it you have to pay attention to it. When you get these little twinges to do something, not do it, go here, not there, start listening and following it. The more you listen the more you will hear, and then you'll find your way back to yourself.
You'll need to use boundaries and let people know when you're not willing to go against your inner promptings. Be true to yourself. Others may not like not having the control over you anymore, but in the long run they'll love the authentic you, and they'll respect you more.

Practice developing an inner voice that you can trust. You may be able to do this by training yourself not to answer any requests or demands that people make on you right away but practice responses like, "I need to take some time to think about it," or, "I'll let you know in a couple of days." A lot of the time when people feel controlled by others & not sure what they really want, they benefit from giving themselves the space they need to make good decisions. Good luck!

You're a chameleon. It's a great thing if you use it right. If you've changed in good ways then you have experience in a lot of different ways of life. I'm the same way and thats the only way to come to terms with it. You are who you are when you look in the mirror. I hope you at least like what you see.

Who are you when there is nobody around? Do you do the right thing even if no one is there to see? You have to see how you are alone...that is the real you. Some people only do things when there is an audience. Anything you do because you want to do it and because it feels right is the real you.

You need to realize that you're letting other people define you. That gives them control of you. If you don't want to be a tool all your life, figure out what is and should be important to you and start to act accordingly.
