It can also be because high protein diets cause the liver to work much harder in turn overworking your kidneys which is why high protein diets can lead to kidney damage. Your bodies reaction to all this overwork is to order more fluid to help the kidneys, and thereofre your thirst increases. please be sure to take vitamin supplements and definately potassium supplemnts as well.

High protien diets are not good for you at all. That thirst could be your kidneys telling you they don't like all the protien. Kidneys can only handle a "normal" amount of protien and when they become overloaded, you can have some problems. Best to not "diet" and learn to eat healthy, exercise and drink water. Lay off sodas, fats and anything unhealthy.

because you don't get enough fluids. drink more every day, and you won't have the problem
