Because I think that these forums should help I would like to offer you this. YES, it is possible to lose a pound a week. So by March you could be at your goal. Eating 250 calories less in a day (cut out a snack, or smaller portions) and exercise. Exercise to burn at least 250 calories in a single workout. Cardio and resistance (weights). ask another question if you need more info.

I'm 15 years old, 6 foot tall and weigh a comfortable 182 pounds, In the fifth grade I weighed 265 pounds, believe it or not. I did that by not eating any pizza or fast food, and following 5 simple steps.

1.Don't eat any white foods.
2.Do 1 type of exercise each day.
3.Drink 1/3 of your body weight in ounces of water everyday.
4. Don't eat at least 2 hours before bed.
5. Eat smaller portions throughout the day instead of three big meals.

If you follow those steps the weight will fall off, when i started I lost about 20 pounds in 2 months. And the hardest part will be keeping the weight off. Good Luck!

Find a diet that will work and that you know for a fact you will be able to commit to. Do some type of exercise which burns a lot of calories. Some different exercises are jogging, swimming, biking, basketball, or anything else that gets your heart pounding. Try to work out 4-5 times a week for at least 30 minutes each time. Have confidence in yourself. One day you may lose 5 pounds and the next day you may not lose any. Dont get frustrated. Drink plenty of water; not only to keep you hydrated, but to flush away the fat thay you will be losing. One thing to keep in mind is that it is always easier to lose weight when you are losing weight with someone else so that you can encourage each other and work out with each other. Best of luck to you.

I went from 190 (after college) to 160 in 1 month. Whatever you do, you need to stick to the routine without FAIL. If you can:

drink lots of fluids (water; gatorade)
cut all late night snacks and carbs
don't eat late at night.. drink water instead

**** get on a regular schedule and run 3 miles 3x a week.***
swimming is better but if you cant get to a pool, jog

This regiment helped me lose my lovehandles, 30 lbs and I became less tired.

get circumcised>>>> HAHAHA. seriously, turn vegetarian, and quit eating all that greasy fatty food, like eggs eggs eggs ( I should talk, I ate like 5 or 6 eggs at a time), and eat only greens, green leafy vegetables, 5 servings a day. Ever hear of Weight Watchers? My sister lost a ton of ugly gross fat and feels like a million, takes walks and goes swimming. MAN, does she look good (for her age) and is so energetic! I was sold. I then did what she did and ate fruits and veggies and tried to walk (but it started to rain) and well I think you should at least lie on the floor and raise one leg at a time, comprendo? Do something and eat better. You're a child of god and god's temple. Would you feed it hot dogs? no way.

firstly, exercise. start with 30 minutes of cardio a day and increase the amount of time, over a period of 4 months, to an hour a day. when you are able to walk for 45 minutes, start to include resistance and weight training 3-4 days a week. secondly, eat! eating helps keep your metabolims revving and if you eat 6 times a day, you will burn more calories. eat high quality, low fat, high fiber food such as a rainbow of high fiber, brightly colored fruits and vegies every day. eat high fiber, whole wheat, whole grain carbohydrates such as wheat bread, wheat tortillas, whole wheat crackers, and cereals and oatmeal. eat lean proteins such as fish and chicken and soy products along with low/non fat dairy products. you should be eating around 1700 calories a day to lose weight and 2200 to maintain weight. make sure to drink plenty of water and green tea. and don't give up. even if you mess up, get back to your regimen. no one is perfect. and you should never feel deprived. treat yourself occasionally and if you eat sweets, limit yourself to one serving or a 1/2 of serving. good luck

Fewer calories and increased activity at the same time.
No other way. Skip the gimmick diets they won't last.
A 2lbs loss per week is considered healthy.
