You must go see the dentist. The solution could be as easy as having him prescribe you a rinse to use. Your gums are bleeding due to irritation. It could be because you are brushing too hard or you have plaque under the gum line which can cause them to become inflamed and bleed. That may mean that you need a deep cleaning. Could be early stages of gingivitis. A good regular cleaning and maintance is a must. If you do not see a dentist regulary, you could develop problems. Make an appointment right away before your situation progresses.

First off, I'm assuming it's your gums bleeding and not your teeth. You may be using a toothbrush with too hard bristles. You should use soft or medium depending on your gum sensitivity. Then there is the bad stuff, you may have a type of gum disease. I don't know what they all are but you should go to the dentist. Dentists aren't bad people and they won't hurt you. The only reason people are scared of them is when they get thier teeth drilled and even that is stupid. I love going to the dentist. I know that I am doing everything I can to take care of my body. If you do have a gum disease and don't get it taken care of early you could run into some serious problems down the road. If you don't go, I don't want to see a question on here from you asking why your gums are rotting off and your teeth are falling out. Go to the dentist. He's not going to do anything to you but look at your gums. I promise.

Ignore many and all of the answers. The first think you should do is to see a dentist. You need to get cleaning done pronto. I don’t know why you are scared of dentist's. Some are very good. If you are scared, you can always get Nitrous (laughing gas). That will help you to relax. Once you get the cleaning done, brush thrice a day with soft toothbrush (two minutes every time). Do not use hydrogen peroxide or Listerine. Follow brushing with flossing (when flossing running the floss once or twice between your teeth does not constitute flossing). Each surface of the tooth must be flossed 20 times (i.e. 20 downward and 20 upward strokes). Do this before it is too late. I don’t know how old you are and I promise you that this will work. I bet my 15+ years of experience as a dentist on this statement,

You might have a case of gingivitis. You need to floss as well as brush. If it is just gingivitis, your teeth will bleed when you brush and floss for at least a week. My hygienist told me that it is healed in one week with brushing and flossing, if it continues past that, you might have peridontal disease. That is when there are pockets with bacteria in the gums and they detach from the teeth. If you have recently been to the dentist and everything is ok, floss, and don't stop. If it is painful, or your gums are puffy, call your dentist and go visit them-it is worth it.

the bleeding is probably from your gums. you most likely have gingivitis. you have to go to a dentist so that he/she can give you the best course of action. most likely it will be in the form of a mouth rinse, using a soft head brush and flossing on a regular basis.

start using sensitive gums toothpaste and start flossing. Not flossing can lead to gingivitis (or bleeding of the gums) flossing helps to create strong gums. You should also use a medium or soft bristle toothbrush.

It could be gingivitis. regular flossing and use of mouthwash should clear it up. But for gums to bleed a little during flossing is normal.

It sounds like a gum problem, like periodontal disease. They might just give you a prescription mouth rinse to help that, unless the situation is too far gone. I don't think there is anything you can do at home to fix this.
