I'm using this pattern

http://peonyknits.blogspot.com/2005/11/anthropologie-inspired-capelet-fo-and.html

and I used really big straight needles (stupidly). Being a top down raglan, though I'm seriously running out of room on my knitting needles. I could buy huge circulars, but I'd really rather not. I also don't know if circulars come in this size.... I was wondering if I could knit the back and sleeves seperately while keeping the rest on waste yarn until I'm done the shoulder and back increases. Any ideas??? I really appreciate any help!!

When I was around 10 yrs old, my mother quilted with a sewing machine. I still have 1 of the quilts and its pretty disqusting with the 70's looking fabric and poorly assembled, but it was a project for me and my sister, so of course, we thought it was great.
I already have the colors of fabric chosen for my quilt and I would like to know how to get started. Any suggestions?
I need to go buy the fabric and decide on a design.
Can you give me any suggestions?
Do you have to quilt with cotton fabric because I would like to experiment with some light denim and corduroy?

...applesauce and what? I was looking for a craft to do with my 5 y/o that he can give as gifts. I remember making ornaments with cookie cutters and the dough was applesauce and something. Oh, and it was bakeable.
Thanks!

I don't understand why so many people think these candles are the best thing in the world when you can get the same kind of candles from Yankee Candle. Yankee Candle is a little less, has just as many scents, and have stores so that people don't have to try to scrounge looking for a candle rep.

I don't get it. Is it just because it's another "party" to hold and so people just naturally think they're good candles? They're going to melt away anyway.

Hi. I want to purchase this wonderful cameo (see link below post) but it's already set in a frame. But the thing is, I want to use it as a pendant. There's no hole on top. How do I turn this into a pendant? Do I need to do some soldering? If so, how? In addition, can you recommend some tutorials for setting cameos and cabochons? Thanks in advance. Happy holidays! :)

There is a trick where you "separate" two elastic bands (one seemingly goes through the other). You start by stretching one between your left thumb and forefinger and then thread the second behind it and then stretching it with the same digits on the right hand. I have found explanations on how to do it online but they are confusing and I get lost. Anyone know an easy way to explain this?

I am making Pomanders, the kind where you cover oranges with whole cloves. I have read that to preserve them, you need to shake them in a bag with Orris Root (and cinnamon and nutmeg powder for added scent). I was wondering if there are other herbs or extracts or spices that you can use to preserve them. I want them to last a long time as it is a lot of work to cover the oranges in cloves and I would like to enjoy the beauty and aroma as long as possible.

I am going to be selling at the local craft fair this weekend, and am not sure how to price one of my items. I have a CD that has 1,000 original patterns on it, and I was going to put the cd's in bags with a skein of yarn and a hook for crocheters.

What should I price this at and have it reasonable and yet at the same time profitable? The yarn is $2, the hook is $2, plus the time it takes me to organize into folders and burn to disk all my original patterns.

Thanks. ;D
