Hi we are doing a christmas play at my church set during world war two and i am a soda jerk in america and i gotta dress up as one we have an apron, shoes, shirt, and pants but we can't find a hat so we was trying to think of a way to make one we have already tried computer paper and i don't really like that the play is sunday. so if you have any ideas on how to make one we would really appreciate it.

The newer ones are made of a soft paper that's almost like cloth. Try your local paper goods store. Ours has a few catering supplies in the back so they sell the paper hats too.

If you can't find one, try using industrial-thickness paper towels.

Folding paper hats are often used by Butcher shops. If you have one close by, ask them.
